I recently visited the Cypress Bar and unfortunately, I won’t be returning. I’d give it 3 stars, but it really didn’t meet expectations. I ordered a whiskey sour, and while it was beautifully decorated with frothy egg white, the taste was off. It was far too sour, almost like they used cheap lemon flavoring. We also tried a mojito, which was again nicely presented, but the bartender added way too much sparkling water, which drowned out any hint of alcohol.

A local piano player was singing very Nolacentric music and was very good. My husband had a TOP NOTCH Old Fashioned with Luchardo? Cherries sure fire way to set the bar at top notch. Wine bottles 50% off at happy hour. The mid priced Cab I chose not an award winner 🥇 IMO but nice.
