Demetrios: Where Gyros Go Big or Go Home
If you’re hunting for a dainty snack, keep moving. But if you’re craving a gyro that could double as a free weight at the gym, Demetrios is your promised land.
My son and I strolled in thinking we’d grab a quick lunch. I left clutching a takeout box so hefty I’m considering entering it in a weightlifting competition. The gyros here are huge—like “Are you sure this isn’t a rolled-up sleeping bag?” huge.
The meat? Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and piled higher than the Parthenon. The pita is soft and warm, like a carb hug, and the tzatziki sauce is so creamy it made me forget ranch dressing even exists. Make sure to order the French fries too.
And let’s talk about the service: the folks at Demetrios are friendlier than a Greek grandma who insists you look “too thin” and tries to feed you until you burst. They smile, they chat, and they keep trying to give you more food, which frankly should be illegal but I’m not complaining.

Lots of seating in booths and tables, grab a menu and seat your self. The staff is very friendly and attentive, sit close to the kitchen for a shorter walk to your table. To start THE COFFEE IS IT, hot dark and smooth. We had the double decker and the Hamburger that are both great, so much food we had to take home half. The have 2 value priced meals that include your coffee, eggs, choice of meat, hashbrowns and toast. Great prices and we will be back. The wait staff are friendly and helpful and responsive to diners (really - it's like the Twilight Zone - you just don't get this level of service in most places). Lunch was soup/sandwich/fries: food came out quick, portions were generous, quality excellent and meal was priced right. Breakfast was omelette, potatoes, toast and coffee.
