Staff were very friendly and courteous, and quick to answer questions as well as deliver extra supplies to our room. Room was clean and having the bed pillows in a zippered cover was nice. We would have loved to have the mattress in a bed bug resistant zippered cover as well, but we checked the mattress, pillows, and entire room and it appeared bug-free. (Bed bugs are a concern of mine whenever staying somewhere else, so I wanted to include that it all checked out.) There were 3 of us, so one slept on the pullout sofa bed. There was a set of clean sheets in a zippered pouch in the closet for that. There were large complimentary bottles of soap, conditioner and body wash for use, attached to a holder built into the tub. One friend didn't care for the tingling feeling of the melaluca in (I think) the shampoo, but otherwise it was nice to have. One thing we lacked was seating (to eat). There was only one chair at the long desk, which could have easily fit another. We didn't want to eat on our beds, so we rotated eating. Lol. We may have been able to ask for an additional chair or 2, but we didn't think about it until about 10pm when we arrived back with a late dinner. We never tried the restaurant there, but their convenience store (like most) was overpriced for what we bought. (About $8 for one regular sized bottle of soda and a water bottle.) Free hot breakfast would have been nice (I love making my own waffles!), but that is not a perk at this hotel, unfortunately. Our group was able to get their own continental breakfast though, which was set up in one of their conference rooms. It was better than I expected from a continental breakfast. Lots of bakery fresh muffins, fresh fruit, cold juices, etc., which we took on the go (to go cups were provided), since we were heading out early to a Conference. The only other thing we wish the hotel had was hot chocolate, since none of us drink coffee. Nice, safe parking in an automated garage with an elevator. Pleasant stay and would...
Read moreThe Courtyard by Marriott Covington offers a great location and convenient amenities, making it an attractive choice for travelers. Situated close to popular fast-food restaurants such as White Castle, McDonald's, and Taco Bell, guests can easily satisfy their cravings without having to travel far.
One of the standout features of this hotel is the provision of free parking in a covered garage. This added benefit ensures that guests have a secure and hassle-free parking experience, which is a definite plus for those traveling by car.
The hotel boasts a large lobby, providing a welcoming and comfortable space for guests to relax and unwind. However, it's worth noting that during peak times, the lobby can become crowded with other guests. While this may be a minor annoyance for some, it does not detract from the overall appeal of the hotel.
In terms of service, the Courtyard by Marriott Covington offers average service to its guests. While the staff members are generally attentive and friendly, some improvements could be made in terms of efficiency and responsiveness. Despite this, the service provided is still satisfactory and does not significantly impact the overall experience.
The rooms at this hotel, however, could benefit from some updates. While they may appear a bit dated, they are still clean and comfortable, ensuring a decent night's sleep for guests. It's worth considering that the hotel's prime location and other amenities outweigh any shortcomings in terms of room aesthetics.
Overall, the Courtyard by Marriott Covington is a solid choice for travelers looking for a conveniently located hotel with free covered parking. While the rooms may be a bit old-fashioned, the cleanliness and comfort make up for it. The hotel's proximity to popular fast-food chains is a convenient perk, allowing guests to easily grab a quick bite. Just be prepared for a potentially crowded lobby...
Read moreDay one. Initial room was 623 or something but it was on the sixth floor. Left the room but when I went to shut the door to close it, the lock was exposed and I couldn’t close the door. Got moved to the seventh floor after extending my stay due to work. ||Now we’re on the seventh floor. 727. Had room service on my second day. I got in from work late so I just tossed my things on the bed and fell asleep on top of the blankets. My room didn’t look like it was cleaned. The way the bed was made, I could’ve done better myself. When I got in from work, I was thinking I would shower and turn in early, wrong. There were what appeared to be pasta or pizza sauce on the “top sheet” ( the housekeeper I encountered outside of room three snidely informed me that this is the correct name for it when I asked for a blanket) and underneath the pillow to my utter disgust, is what looks like a feces stain. I went down to the front desk and the very sweet woman (find out her name) suggested that I be moved to a different room vs giving me fresh linens and allowing me to make the bed myself. ||On to room three. Back to the sixth floor (notice a pattern yet?). I closed the curtains only to notice a hole in them. After unpacking my things again, I turned the tv on and the remote wasn’t working. I went BACK downstairs and informed her of my issue and a maintenance guy was waiting in the hallway outside of my room. He swapped the remote out and made sure it was working before he left. ||No bottles of water in my room although they’re $5 each, I would’ve liked to have the option. Was going to talk to a manager but was told there wouldn’t be one on duty until Sunday. ||I believe Jessica was the name of the front desk woman who helped me when I noticed the stains on my sheets. Thank you to her and the man that initially greeted me when I checked in. It wont allow me to upload photos for some reason but I...
