Roebling Books and Coffee has become an essential stop for locals in search of a cozy space to enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a good book. This establishment has established itself as an essential part of the community, offering a convenient spot for residents to walk to and take a break from the daily grind.
One of the highlights of Roebling Books and Coffee is the ability to not only enjoy a warm beverage but also to browse and purchase a wide selection of books. This aspect allows customers to support local businesses and cultivate a rich reading culture within the community.
However, despite the charming atmosphere and valuable offerings, the experience at Roebling Books and Coffee is tarnished by a few unfortunate shortcomings. The coffee, while generally satisfactory, suffers from inconsistency. Customers may notice that the taste and quality of their preferred beverages can vary greatly, even when prepared by the same barista.
Furthermore, the staff's unfriendly demeanor casts a shadow over the overall experience at this local gem. As a regular patron, I have often felt as though I was interrupting or inconveniencing the employees when placing my order. This sentiment has been echoed by friends who have joined me for coffee dates at Roebling Books and Coffee. Just yesterday, I met a couple there who shared similar complaints about the lackluster service.
While I will continue to frequent Roebling Books and Coffee to support local business and enjoy the convenience it offers, it is disappointing to see such potential marred by poor service. I sincerely hope that the management takes notice of these concerns and works to address them, ultimately elevating the experience for all who visit this cherished...
Read moreI rarely write negative reviews, but after three disappointing visits to the Roebling Books & Coffee location in Covington, I feel compelled to share my experience. Each time I’ve walked in, I haven’t been greeted. Even when I offer a warm hello myself, I’m either ignored or looked at like I’ve done something wrong.
When I ask about the menu, I’m met with impatience, as if I’m inconveniencing the staff. It’s disheartening, especially because I used to consider this place a hidden gem. I want to support small businesses in Covington. I really do. But I can honestly say I’ve never been treated this way in a Starbucks.
It’s worth noting that my visits haven’t been during busy times. The café has always been calm and quiet, which makes the lack of hospitality even more puzzling. During one of my most recent visits, I was completely ignored while the staff stood around joking with each other.
I still plan to visit the Newport location, where I’ve always had a wonderful experience. But I’m truly sad to walk away from the Covington shop. I hope things improve, because customer experience is the heart of hospitality, and it seems to be...
Read moreHello, Today a friend and I visited the coffee shop and ordered an iced coffe and spicy mocha. I was dissatisfied at both the service and the drink. My drink (iced coffee) was great, however my friend had a terrible experience with her drink and the worker. Upon arrival at the pick up window, we weren’t greeted or told that it would be a wait. Once the window was opened the worker spoke 0 words to us and just stared. It was a male in his mid to late twenties with longer hair. We made our orders and waited. Once we revived them my friend noticed her drink had a lack of mocha. She went back to ask for some on the side in a cup and was given a cup of cold milk. She restated that she had asked for mocha and not milk and was met with a rude tone and that it was mocha in the cup. She tasted it and it was in fact milk. She was not able to drink her drink and ended up throwing it away. This was an unfortunate inconvenience and I hope some resolutions can be made with the...
