I critique high end restaurants more harshly than I would a quick cheap meal. High ticket prices = high expectations. That said, the Delmonico Ribeye was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It’s extremely hard to find a restaurant that knows what medium rare is, even in top rated restaurants. In college I worked at a high end steakhouse. The ribeye I had last night was as perfect a medium rare as I’ve ever seen in my life. I wish I could cook one that well. I was hesitant to order the Delmonico bc I wasn’t sure how the lemon compound butter would couple with the steak. No need for creativity… I want steak to be steak with no gimmicks, but shockingly, the butter ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal! My wife’s meal had jumbo lump crab the size of my thumb. The creamed spinach was great. Service was excellent (thanks Sasha). The crème brûlée had a thick crust that needed to be cracked with a spoon (perfect!). I’ll be talking about this place for a while, and I look forward to our next date...

Despite bringing the delay to our server's attention, the meal was ultimately delivered by the manager, who apologized for the wait, yet there was no substantive service recovery offered. While we recognize that the establishment has only been open for two weeks, we would have appreciated a more proactive acknowledgment of the situation. Notably, the table next to us, a party of four, received special attention and complimentary desserts, suggesting a closer relationship with management.
