My mom and I have never gone to a Whataburger before but wanted to try it out. I downloaded the app (which gives you a free Whataburger which is nice!) And found out this brand new location doesn't offer mobile ordering. Strange to me since why create an app when the main function isn't a part of a new store's design. Whatever. We decide to go through the drive thru thinking it'll be faster and that was the biggest mistake. At this location you have 2 drive thrus. One is closest to the window while the other requires a team member to walk out and take payment and also give food. The line that was closest to the window was the one we chose, again thinking it'd be faster... Somehow (even though the people came after us in the second line were served long before us) we were served dead last after a literal 20 min wait. It took so long I had to shut off my car because I got a low fuel warning. The car in front of me was so tired of waiting she just drove off without any interaction at all from what I could see. You may be wondering, we'll if it was such a long wait why didn't you drive off? Guess what! You literally can't. They must have expected that when designing the drive thru by putting up a block to force you to continue and prolong your suffering. When I finally did get to the window the app didn't work for the discount and it had to be manually applied (no fuss there but honestly... This location needs help from corporate and corporate needs its own special kind of help.) When we finally escaped to go eat, it was disappointing even with us getting a whole burger for free. Drenched in mustard, no seasoning on the patty, size was decent but for 6.29 id expect it to be. Ordering a small fry was laughable at 2.69, McDonald's has nothing to worry about if this is the quality whataburger gives. All in all.... Never going back unless a lot of changes are made. Read moreLast week I went to this location on my lunch break. 20 minutes after ordering the food had not arrived. When I inquired about my order I was told they "gave it to someone else" and a new order would be made. 10 minutes later, and needing to get back to work, I was given my order along with someone else's. I thought I'd give this location another try today. I asked for a plain kids burger and the lady at the counter said this was a good time for her to "educate" me on their burgers. She told me only mustard came on the kids burger. I said, "Ok, no mustard, please..." I then asked "Pickle doesn't come on it, does it?" She replied, "Oh yeah, pickle does." It sounds like I'm not the one who needs to be educated on what does/doesn't come on their burgers. When the food was brought to the table by another employee she looked at our receipt and asked, "Why didn't you tell them your number? It would have saved me a lot of time instead of me having to look for you." My husband and I looked at her confused and I said, "The lady handed us this number when she gave us our receipt." Read morePulled up to the drive through because it didn’t seem long it at all. Line was at about where the canopies end so not long at all. I waited literally 30 minutes, no exaggeration I texted my girlfriend when I got there and looked at the time when I left it was 30 minutes. Apparently there was a hold up in our line because the line next to us was moving fine. If you’re having an issue with a customer that holds a line up 30 minutes tell them to park and go inside. Don’t make the rest of the customers behind them wait 30 minutes to put in an order. I understand his place is busy but like duh it is. This is the first whataburger Covington has ever had of course it is going to be busy. A 2 year old could have seen that this place was going to be busy. But yet they seem unable to handle the amount of business they are getting. Did they not expect it to be this busy when they were training the staff? This issues falls on management the staff seems fine they just obviously weren’t prepared. Oh and when I got my burger I paid for a bacon cheese burger and guess what… No Bacon!
