Wings House At Covington — Restaurant in Covington

I want to give a fair review of Wings House, Covington, Ga. This was my first visit to a Wings House. So I took my time reviewing the menu. This evidently bother the lady waiting to take my order and her customer service pretty much went down hill from there as she pressed me for my order and when I was not ready she told me to step aside even though there no one in line behind me but I did so. When I decided what I wanted, she stated "now you are ready to order" with a condescending tone. I gave my order, paid and suggested it would be 15 minutes. I stepped outside and wait. When I came back in to pickup my order another there was another woman who gave my order she a smile, and was very polite. Ask if I need sauces and provided a much experience. On my way out with my ordered. I notice the lady who took my order cleaning table and killing flies with same towel she was cleaning tables with. In the end the restaurant showed well, the wings honey garlic was pretty good (could have used more garlic, the shrimp appeared to be just battered and fried (no seasoning) but presented well but bland. Only saved by the dipping sauce. This would have been a ok experience for the first except for one employee. Restaurant is the absolute worse. I don’t normally have an issue but today I literally waited 40 minutes for my food and I had a call in order. When I got there I told the cashier I’m here for order #81. She said just a few minutes it’s not ready yet. I said ok I paid my $12.83 and waited people came and went after me. I’m asking order 81 I’m still waiting, come to find out my ticket has been punched as in complete or what not and my order was given to somebody else. Now I’m waiting another 15 minutes for 2 catfish and an order of fries. For the inconvenience literally waited 42 minutes because I timed it on my iPhone, I asked can I get extra fries, a catfish or something . I called order #81 total of 3 times. Both cashiers the black girl with dredlocks and the white girl with a short bob like hair style to her neck (who actual took my order) did not hear my ask for my order because they were both on the cell phone with out a care in the world. This is when I got pissed off because now texting on your phone is more important then making sure I have my order. I've been wanting to try this new place since they opened next door to Jimmy John's recently. I was craving wings and decided that there's no time like the present. Since it's new the inside is still very nice and seating was pretty ample. It's the typical GA setup of wings, fried rice, fries, onion rings, different sugary drink mixes and possible diabetes. The wings were ready in about 10 minutes as promised and were just the right size. The Honey Mild doesn't say mild buffalo on the menu but that's what it is and it's yummy, it goes perfectly with Bleu cheese dip. Lemon Pepper Wet were good, it just needed more of what makes it wet. All in all I'd tell them that the next time I go because in a pinch they're a good place to have nearby.
