This is what my wife wrote about her experience
. I couldn't agree more or be more appreciative. As an amputee completely relegated to a wheelchair, I understand challenge. Much of my time is spent looking in from the fringes of a dark corner. So, if your disability is crushing you...this may help. It was a marvelous surprise to find a place that shed sunshine on that darkness! Covington, Georgia is a tiny jewel of wonder! From the moment I entered the community; life became better! The Hampton Hotel was outstanding in securing a safe, accessible rest, thank you. The visitor's center and staff were ALL employees of the year. Ron and Lena at the front desk get a million stars for their remarkable courtesy and assistance. Due to their kindness and diligence, I could participate in my own story. I hope you understand what a gift your attentiveness brought! Thank you. Downtown is brilliant! No trouble motoring the streets and sidewalks, plenty of smiling folks willing to spare you a moment, and a grand variety of sites and shops...and usable ways to explore! Thank you. A very special thank you to the Bread and Butter Cafe/Bakery...SO nice and unbelievably
perceptive to my needs. (Best bagel I have ever had!). Bless you. When I say I was sad to leave...that is the honest truth. Every person has a story if we take the time to listen. This trip might just have rekindled my interest in...living. Travel safe and know that if you land in Covington, you will leave smiling. Don't forget to grab a site map for exploration...it is a incredible place to visit. (...and know that honor and decency is alive and well in...
