While the staff was generally friendly, I can't say that I was impressed with the care I received. Dr. Arnold was nice enough, but when I pointed out something on my skin that was of concern to me, I felt brushed off and like she wasn't hearing the concern. She told me, "It looks benign to me. Come back in 6 months and if it looks different, we will biopsy." I told her that the mark had already been changing (which, to me, is typically a sign that something should be looked into further and I shouldn't wait), but she just advised me to come back in 6 months. She didn't explain why she felt the mark wasn't of concern, she just said she didn't think it was. Shortly after, she wrote my check-out order to come back in a year. I was shocked because she'd just told me 6 months, but I suppose had already forgotten she'd said that and wrote 1 year? It felt like she was in such a rush she wasn't paying attention to what she'd told me.
She was in the room all of 7 or 8 minutes and quickly rushed out, leaving me swirling with questions that she had no time to answer.
In addition, the nursing/medical assistant staff told Dr. Arnold inaccurate things about my medical history. Before Dr. Arnold came into the room, I could hear the nurse/medical assistant telling her that I'd "just had a baby." I don't have children, I have never had children, I never mentioned having a baby to anyone, and it's no where in my medical history. Nothing even close. When I was listening, I thought initially that maybe she was talking about someone else who happened to share my last name and age (trying to give benefit of the doubt), but then the MD came in and asked me at one point, "So you just had a baby?" It made me uneasy that such a glaring mistake could be made and that something I never mentioned about my medical history was somehow relayed to the doctor. All in all, staff was nice but I didn't find the care up to par. I won't be returning and will continue with...
Read moreEDIT: this situation has been resolved but I cannot in good conscious remove this review. Although the billing was corrected, it took nearly a month for anyone to reach out to me. I called every business day for 7 straight days and was repeatedly told someone would contact me but it never helped. I am updating this to 3 starts.
ORIGINAL: I hate to leave this review because the in person service was absolutely amazing.
I returned to the office for a follow up Appointment and was billed an amount 11 times my co-pay for seeing a specialist. I questioned the amount immediately, but was told that my insurance was not paying, but that the amount would be applied towards my deductible. It seemed a little strange, but this was my first time visiting the dermatologist so I decided I would handle it with my insurance company. I called them and explained the situation and they were also confused why my bill was coded in that way and I had to make a payment of that magnitude. With this information, I contacted the office trying to gain some clarity. If this is the cost of service, it’s fine, but I would like to understand why I’m paying so much. I do not want any additional surprise bills in the future. I have called a total of five times and no one can or is willing to answer my question. They all seem to kick the can to someone else and tell me to expect a phone call back, which I still have not received. It has been 10 days and instead of calling me back, they sent me a letter in the mail that still doesn’t answer my question. If you were looking for a doctors office that will offer you transparency in billing this is not the...
Read moreI have called once a week for 3 weeks. The first time somebody answered the phone. They told me my doctor was not available, but there was a doctor at the office.I said he can either call me back or email me whichever but I do have a few questions.I just started taking this medication. I never received a call back. I never received a email I called last week. Nobody answered the phone I just called twice this morning and nobody answered the phone either. I guess I should start looking for another doctor. I have never used or been to a dermatologist before and so far. This has been a horrible experience. My question was about the surround. I purchased at the office. That was $70. That is supposed to help me with my hair falling out and help my hair regrow. But when I put it on, it Burns really bad and the bottle was actually really sticky when I got home, because they had placed it into a bag. So when I pulled it out of the bag when I got home, it was really sticky and very hard to open. I don't know if it had already been leaking or if it was already open. That was another question. But I was wondering since it was burning when I put it on my head if I should discontinue use, it's now been three weeks and seventy dollars wasted because I decided to not keep putting it on my head but was not able to ask any physicians in the past three weeks, any of these.Questions that are very simple and could have been answered in just a...
