Edit: I no longer frequent Avor Thai due to their health inspection record. I understand that with every new restaurant there is a curveball and time is needed to adjust, however there were too many violations for me to feel comfortable eating here. I am most concerned by the fact that a mop bucket was blocking the handwashing station in the kitchen.... It is truly a shame that they did not take food safety seriously as it was delicious.

Read moreThe rating for this place is accurate. They serve great quality food at pretty reasonable prices and with decent portions. Yes, there are better deals, but it's good Thai food so I can't refuse it. I tried their pad see ew with tofu (0 spice) and the Thai custard with pumpkin and sticky rice.
The pad see ew was very good. They had nice, thick noodles that were excellently cooked. The texture was great, and the flavor was great as well. It was the perfect balance of savory and sweetness. Plus, unlike many place that barely use any sauce, they used the perfect amount! Good amount of tofu that was well cooked and well soaked in the delicious sauce. I would have preferred the broccoli be cooked a little longer since it was hard, though. Pretty solid portion for the price.
I've had many Thai custards before, but this is my first time trying it with pumpkin. I must say that I prefer the version without pumpkin, but this one was still good. I thought the portion seemed small, but in reality, it's fair. The pumpkin is earthy but the custard itself is sweet and delicious. Great texture of sticky rice. I wish there was more coconut milk poured on it.
All in all, a great spot for Thai food. The portions are decent and so are the prices. The food is flavorful, and I enjoyed both my dessert and the main course....
Read moreMy friend and I like to try new places! We don't mind a bit of travel to do so, but this place isn't too far from home so we were excited! We went for lunch, 12:30 on a Saturday. Apon walking in we weren't even greeted. The restaurant was completely empty and the lights were mostly turned off, we thought maybe they weren't open yet. We were sat at a table that was dirty so we asked for a towel to wipe it and the person rolled their eyes but did wipe the table. I'm not going to get into detail but our server was just rude! You could tell they didn't want to be there! It felt like they were the owners child and didn't have a choice but to be there, that is sad, but that is not our fault. That may not be the case at all! But this is the first time that we have not left a tip! Ever! We are restaurant workers ourselves! So that's saying something. The food was good. Although I think they got confused on the heat levels because ours was the same heat, even though my friends tolerance for heat is much greater than mine, we switched dishes and it was the same. But good none the less. I honestly don't know if we will return. I hate leaving this review! I understand it's hard for the industry right now! But it's part of the experience that...
