I said it all on the first page. Worth another read if you glanced over it. Where shall I start: I know this has already been communicated to Christina, but, I'll repeat it anyway. I am a lifetime level GOLD ELITE, (soon to be Platinum). My profile clearly states a preference for the upper floor. I made the reservation in February of this year. When I arrived we were given a first floor room! I inquired as to why I hadn't been given an upper floor as requested three months ago. The attendant had no answer, which I understood. She tried placing us in a third floor room, but when my wife walked into our new room she found a man laying in the bed!!!! Clearly not what we expected. So, we ended up on the first floor anyhow. We are right next to the stairs and entrance way. How bad can it get - people slamming the outer door at all hours, people running up and down the stairs. Dogs barking as they entered or exited the building. Great way to treat a "valuable" guest! But, it gets better! The toilet backed up and we called for maintenance. Hours later there was no response.. I went to Walmart and bought a plunger and fixed the problem myself. I wanted to be sure it was as good as it could get so I had the housekeeper call for maintenance once again. This time someone showed up. He could barely walk and should have retired years ago. He looked at the toilet and put his gizmo into the toilet, barely able to stand without falling over. He took it out and said that it was as good as it gets - which was no better than I had already done myself. We also had had a drip from the ceiling, in front of the refrigerator, that lasted the entire visit. We wiped it up constantly. We only had one towel in the room when we arrived so we had to make another trip to the front desk to get another towel. Not the way we expected to start our stay. As you might have guessed by now I am not pleased with our stay. After several hundred nights at Marriott properties all over the country over several years, this is THE ABSOLUTE WORST visit and experience I have ever had, bar none. I have stayed here in the past and had good service and experiences. This time may be the last even though we had made another reservation for August several weeks ago. We shall see. The only reason I gave you a 2 instead of a 1 is that when I checked out the gentleman at the desk was sincerely apologetic and promised to relate our experience to the...
Read moreIf you need a place and you don't care how it is this has like a refrigerator and a heating element and a microwave and a kitchen table and a generic coffee pot and a dishwasher. The front desk person that I talked to every morning from Wednesday through Friday morning was awesome she's great I got to talk to her she got to know about me and my mom because I was visiting her for her birthday. Evening people or the weekend people were just okay They weren't very friendly or cordial enough to me. I come home two different times in 2 days and no housekeeping. The first night I just thought well I was running late got out late maybe they just didn't come out. The second day I call when I get home at 5:00 and told you you have to ask for room service everyday. Nobody tells me this there's nothing stating you have to do this. You should be claiming the The hotel rooms everyday. I had to ask for extra towels extra bed sheets because nobody did anything for 2 days I'm not sleeping on the same damn and towels. And I had to go down to go pick him up cuz she was the only person there. I would not come here again due to the situation of what happened there. The front desk lady in the mornings was awesome and I would give her five stars for her excellent taking care of me. The breakfast is awesome I will say that They have a great breakfast much better than what I expected, however girl from the kitchen is not very friendly or nice. I was looking for sugar it's by the coffee is what I was told. Where's the coffee cuz I don't see it I didn't see it when I came in well it's by the front want to walk in I didn't even see it. And as soon as it hits the closing time for that breakfast she's yanking that stuff out of there faster than anything else. And I mean she yanks everything out if you didn't get it you don't get it. It was okay but I was not happy. Also the one lamp in the bedroom the lampshade was broken I had to tell him. Then I had to call him about my air conditioner cuz I had a little hole in the wall in the bedroom air conditioner and I had it running and after the second day it's spitting out water. So I went downstairs when I was leaving until we need to have somebody take a look at it. I come back they have a whole room air conditioning running. Why wasn't this running when I was coming in to my room? I didn't even notice the box on the wall...
Read moreOur stay at the Cranberry Twp, PA Residence in was fabulous! We were there as travelers, but you could also enjoy it
just as a mini vacation destination.
All of the desk clerks were very hospitable and knowledgeable. Our suite was well appointed and very clean.
We were there with a middle school traveling basketball team, about 30 people in all, and the breakfast attendants were congenial and efficient, they couldn't have been more helpful and kind to us and our girls. They insured everyone had their breakfast and was on the way to the tournament with time to spare. This was also Memorial weekend and there were plenty of other travelers staying there, too, so they had many other people to attend to at the same time.
We, and the team, especially enjoyed the salt water pool and whirlpool, complete with the ceiling in the pool room painted with puffy white clouds against a sky of blue with seagulls flying, like at the beach.
Anyone in that area, or just passing through, should seriously consider staying at this hotel, you won't regret it.
I personally have stayed in more expensive hotels from coast to coast, and from Canada to Florida, but never at a nicer hotel.
Additionally there's a steak, rib and wing restaurant at the end of the parking area and a very 'popular' coffee shop chain across from that. Everything you need is right there, you wouldn't even have to use your car again if you didn't want to.
There is a mall approximately 2 to 3 blocks up the same street in addition to many more shopping and dining locales, all in a very clean, very safe area. Easy on and off of the PA Turnpike.
As I said before, we are a traveling team and we can only hope that our travels bring us back to Cranberry Twp Residence Inn next year. We give you 60 "Thumbs Up".
Thank you for helping to make our trip a memorable one for the girls.
By the way, we won the tournament !!! Could it be because we stayed at a Residence Inn???...
