Vinny's Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Cranford

If I could give zero stars I would. Maybe they just don't do well with GrubHub orders, but we placed an order at 6:15pm and the app said it would be delivered between 7-7:10. At 7:32pm I called the restaurant directly because the food was not here yet. The girl who answered said it would at least another half an hour and "GrubHub estimates are usually wrong." I said can I speak to a manager and a "manager was unavailable." So I said well I would at least like some money back since it was taking 2 hours for pizza?! Who heard of such a thing?! They said they would contact GrubHub and suggest a refund and I said well am I still getting my food or do I need to order from somewhere else? They said no we're sending your food should be there in 30 minutes. At 8:17pm (45 minutes later) the food was still not here. This time my husband called, gave them our address and they said "the food was out for delivery will be there in a few minutes." The restaurant is 7 minutes from our house. 30 minutes LATER we called AGAIN (now 2.5 hours after ordering) and they said WE called and cancelled the order which is absolutely untrue and then said it would take another 20-30 minutes to get our food if we still wanted it and added "that's quick because there's no other orders now". At THAT time we cancelled the order and realized that although this was the first time trying this restaurant because they had decent reviews we will NEVER try them again. Unbelievable. We could've WALKED to the restaurant there and back and eaten dinner...

Been here a few times and the food is pretty good, however my last experience was enough for me not to come back. We placed a large order for pick up and asked on the phone if they could bring it out to the car when we got there and they said no problem. When we got there we called to let them know that we were there and the young girl that answered the phone told me that I had to come in and that they would not bring the food out to the back parking lot. I explained to her that there was no place to park because the lot was full and I did not want to leave my car. She told me that I should walk around the block to front but I again explained to her that due to the fact that the street in front of the restaurant was closed off for outdoor dining that again was not able to find a parking spot. She still wouldn't bring it out and I had to walk almost 2 blocks to get to the restaurant. I'd like to mention that the only reason we went here is because it's my daughters favorite place and we drove 30 minutes and passed probably 100 other pizzarias to get here. No more! Good food but bad...

I absolutely adore this place! Craving some comfort food, I decided to indulge in a classic favorite: chicken parmigiana. However, to my pleasant surprise, they featured the Chick Valdostano as a special tonight. Picture this: pan-seared chicken, draped with prosciutto and fontina cheese, all harmoniously swimming in a delicate white wine sauce. A symphony of flavors, if you will. But that’s not all! The plate was accompanied by a side of sauteed broccoli and perfectly cooked potatoes—a delightful combination that left my taste buds dancing. And to cap off this culinary adventure, I couldn’t resist their renowned zeppoles, generously filled with cannoli cream, paired with a robust double espresso. Pure bliss! As always, dining at Vinny’s Pizza & Pasta is an experience that never disappoints. 🍕🍝🥂"
