Everyone was so kind at this location as I stopped through to pick up two plates of fried catfish to take to the hospital for a family member. But I was very disappointed when I found I could not chew the Okra completely enough to swallow it (it was like chewing hay) and the macaroni and cheese was mostly cheese sauce. I was fit to be tied. So I called to the restaurant and ask for the manager and to my surprise the young lady that answered said she was THE manager. Ok , I told her well you sound like the young lady that took my order in the drive thru so I began to tell her about my complaint and she continued to interrupt me and I could tell she was a lil bit bothered that I would even complain, but listen, I just paid $30 for basically 4 pieces of catfish. So I ask again before I began to really get sideways if she was the store manager, and that's when she told me she wasn't, she was a shift manager. (Deep breath) At this point , I could not believe I was going to have to tell this story twice becuz someone wanted to train a shift manager on how to handle a customer complaint by taking a call? No that's not how you do it sir. You teach them by setting a great example. She wasn't ready at all. Her attitude was flippant and non apologetic, she really acted like I was crazy and getting on her nerves as I could HEAR her rolling her eyes at me. So, Andrew got on the phone next , or David ...(I'm sorry can't remember his name) the Store Manager...very in tune with how to handle a customer complaint, did not waver at all with his concern or apologies, he let me speak without interrupting & after explaining to him that I also am a GM and it could've been a bad batch from distributor, etc. I told him just wanted him to be aware.... HE actually convinced ME to return to the restaurant so he could make it right . He replaced both plates with new sides for FREE! Great job! Thank you kind sir for being professional , apologetic and displaying the best customer service skills ever! PS I would never let my shift managers handle customer complaints . Why? How do you think I came to this Google Review? And I know these reviews effect our bonuses and our jobs. So let me be CLEAR.....This is absolutely NOT A bad review on the Store or the Store Manager ....but an opportunity to train and complain about the quality of the products mentioned above ! (Okra & Mac & Chz) Call your distributor or don't serve it....if it's gonna get you bad reviews !!! This location performed great! And I highly...

It won't let me leave my dining experience. Probably because you have gotten so many bad reviews. We've been coming here for years but we will go someplace else on Sundays now. The service has become really bad.....I can't fill out the survey, the site won't let me. Even on the page where it says dining experience, it confidently blocks one from feeling it got......Captain D's in crestview, Fl I can't get your survey to work. Captain D's is losing our business !! And they have already lost many many other local customers over the last 3 months. The service has become horrendous! Every time we've gone, giving them another chance; the service has been horrible! The last 3 times it's taken them over 20 minutes to bring our simple food to our table. People are walking out. The restaurant in Crestview, Florida, zip 32539 is going under. It is know more than half empty on Sunday's, when it used to be where we had to wait fir a table. Fish only takes 3 minutes to cook, not 20 minutes. They are serving the drive thru quickly but not the customers within the restaurant. It's become real bad service. I may try one more time but it's only because my husband wants too, not me. 20 minutes is too long to wait for a 3 min piece of fish. This has happened 3 Sunday's in...
Read moreI was on the road looking for a quick bite, did a search and decided to exit and go to Captain D's. It said it was open until 10:00, it was before 8:30. As I pulled up, all the exterior lights were off but still had drive-through traffic. Never been there before I wasn't familiar with the menu, as I finally pulled up to order, there was still one car ahead of me and I could hear them order along with the response through the speaker. The first four items they ordered, the restaurant was "apparently" out of. I could hear the guy in the car laughing after being told they were sold out after asking for several things. He finally found something they had. Once it was my turn, all that really interested me was the gumbo, and guess what, yes they were "out." So off to Arbys after wasting over 15 minutes. It was a Friday night, and guaranteed the teenagers were looking to figure out any way possible to justify an early shutdown. This review is primarily aimed at the management and owner. The lights were off and claimed they were out of many menu items (which I highly doubt), over an hour and a half before they were scheduled to close. Not sure if I will try them again...
