Paparito's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Crossville

My son and I decided to give it a try on several people’s recommendations. I must say it was overhyped and disappointing. The atmosphere of the place was awesome. I loved the artwork and the cleanliness of the place. The gentleman that took our order seemed mad at the world and acted like he didn’t want to be there. The portions of the food were good but that’s about the only good thing I can say. The food was bland, you couldn’t differentiate between the ingredients of the burrito. The rice had no flavor, the steak also had no flavor and that pretty much sums up everything else I got on the burrito. The only thing you could really taste was the black beans. On to the drinks…… the fountain coke tasted horrible, I’m not sure if the lines needed to be cleaned or if it was running out of the bag syrup but I couldn’t even finish my drink it tasted so bad. I’m not sure if something has changed over time but upon getting so many recommendations from friends saying the food was so great I’m kind of curious as to what all the...

This was our first visit tonight and it was a great experience. The owners brother was working who designed a lot of the unique art inside and outside the restaurant. The artwork really adds to environment. He had a great attitude, but I also want to compliment the two young men working with him… one with a ponytail and glasses and the other one had a baseball cap. Both of these young men had a great attitude toward my family and joked with us as they prepared the food. This team really makes for a pleasant visit.

The food is spectacular. One of the guys convinced me to get the spicy chicken for my burrito bowl. It was perfect!! You can tell they have invested time in perfecting every ingredient. The pineapple salsa I highly recommend as well… it is very spicy, but starts out sweet. I am also a big fan of pico and their pico was fresh and flavorful. The chips also have the right amount of spice. My son did not want to share those. :)

The food was served refrigerator cold. I thought their warming station was down and they had not realized it yet so I asked if the food temp was normal. I was informed that my food was not cold, but that if it was it was because cold veggies cool it off. But, the entire thing was straigh out of the grill! I just kept shaking me head when she insisted that cold food was normal and good. Strange how every other burrito and taco in town is served hot.

Finally, after much rude attitude Itutu let her know I would post my review on social media. A man came out handed me a receipt and informed me that I had been refunded, but was asked to never return! So, we left and on our way out he told us to clean off our table. We left all of the completely uneaten food. Give me a break.

The solution would have been to offer to warm the cold food. Apparently customer service was too...
