If I could leave a 0 I would. I have had the worst experience. After my son received his food incorrectly made; I called immediately to let management know. She apologized and told me to come back anytime to redeem a corrected meal. I went back that evening and delt with the supervisor or manager who refused to give me his name but he is a lead of some sort. Spanish speaking, black brushed back hair, facial hair, older 30 40s looking and, horrible attitude. I elaborated on my conversation with the lady in the afternoon. He persisted to tell me that I had my information incorrect, that I called the wrong mcdonald's, and that he cannot help me. I the remembered I had the phone call recorded. I allowed him to listen to call and he still denied a replacement meal for my son. A 5$ replacement meal. He told me I called the wrong mcdonald's. I insisted to speak with management. He told me Lorena would be in in the AM I then left. Not even 4 min later I called the same number in my call log to which I called earlier that afternoon. He answered.... I asked him if he could tell me where he is located. He said in crystal lake. I said yes but on rt 14 where are you? He said there are 2 mcdonald's in rt 14. I then said yes but are you by the best buy... He then CONFIRMED that he was next to the chase bank! I then said THANK YOU FOR CONFIRMING THE NUMBER I CALLED EARLIER WAS THIS LOCATION THAT MESSED UP MY SONS ORDER THIS AFTERNOON! I said thank you and hung up. After calling this am, Lorena was not there. I talked to llda who said I can come back and receive my corrected meal and to ask for America. I cannot believe everything that happened for 5 dollars. I am very disappointed with this level of customer service. My son was very sad on top of that. I will not be returning. Even for my free food which may contain hair or spit. No thank you! Read moreI worked for this McDonalds many of many years ago... The food 9 out 10 is usually spot on. The limited edition Mcrib... I wouldn't go anywhere else to get it. It's just that darn good. The score factor reduction here is (a) the drive thru, you got to speed it up. The line should not be wrapped around the building. Needs to get more efficient. (b) I prefer going in, much quicker than the drive thru. My hiccup here... The kiosk system drives me nuts. Doesn't accept cash. Customer before me, wanted to pay cash. Manager, told him he could pay at the kiosk with cash. Really? Where? Cause, that was what I was going to do... Pay cash for it. Since when could you not go to the cash registers, order, and pay cash? Cash is King. Very strange. If I was the owner, I wouldn't be happy with my manager telling my customers that. Anyways, aside from these minor fixes... It's still the best McDonalds of Crystal Lake, always has been, since I worked there. Chuck was my boss, and Danny/Carl Potts was my shift manager back in the 80s & 90s. It's still running strong. Have to admit, I miss that crew we had. #1 McDonald's vs. McDonald's softball. We'll still smoke ya. I know things are tough right now, but... Hang in there. This McDonalds is still one of the originals of Crystal Lake, and it's still standing all these years in the same location. In Crystal Lake? Pay them a visit, 90% of the time... Read morePoor customer care compared to others.... Went there for an hour at play place. Its tidy and air conditioned. They forgot the drinks but thats ok. They didnt handle customer care correctly and thats why the two stars. ..after playing amd eating we left and decided to hit up drive through for ice cream ..to our dismay we were told they're not serving ice cream right now. It was mid day on a Saturday..weird but ok...I assume they're cleaning the machine...well then I said what could I do for my three small kids instead? We had three coupons for free apple slices. I asked if I could use them and they advised me No only 1 use per visit. Rules are rules and they wouldn't budge. I would think one might offer us a one time exemption for the in convenience of the situation....but to them that was out of the question ..as they were a corporate store they kid said..hmmm..corporate or not..i was not asking for something outrageous..the apples that arent good after a week get tossed out even... ..the coupons were valid... They could have tried to help menout .. but they chose not to care. Im sure no one else will either but if you want kinder service for same food just go further down 14 to the MC donalds in Cary. They had ice cream at peak time on weekend and accepted my three coupons without question. But still I might simply choose frostys at Wendy's next time...
