Rosie's Gluten Free Sweets, Inc. — Restaurant in Crystal Lake

I love this bakery so much!! I developed a severe dairy allergy a few years ago out of nowhere (Mid 40's :( hormonal changes). My all time favorite dessert - my entire life - SUGAR COOKIES. I tried several different dairy free cookies and I was always left disappointed - until I tried Rosie's. They have the BEST dairy free iced sugar cookies. And they're cookies are not just good for being dairy free. They are just delicious overall. My teen boys tried them and had no idea they were dairy free. The staff here is wonderful. Every time I go, the ladies are so friendly. I live very close to their old location in Woodstock, but I drive past their new location every day on my way to work - so still easily accessible for me. And their new location is so much bigger and has a wonderful bakery counter so you can really see all that they have. Oh - I forgot to add that I've also had one of their vegan chocolate cakes. 6/24/2025 - love this bakery!! Its still my favorite location for gluten free, vegan, alergyen friendly snacks! I have hypoglycemia, and although I try not to have too many sweets, when I do, I am happy to say that I don't experience high blood sugars or blood sugar lows. I don't know if it's because they use real ingredients, but when I have my allotted sweets per month, I don't have to worry. Please continue the great work :).

10/2021 - I bought a birthday cake and 2 dozen cupcakes - they were absolutely a hit with my guests and intensely delicious! My guests were extremely surprised that they were all gluten and dairy free. One of my guest remarked that the cake tasted like wedding cake. They were moist, soft and extremely delicious! I have been gluten free and dairy free for several years and Rosie's Gluten Free Sweets is the only place I have come across with a diverse variety of desserts and breads that actually taste GREAT!!! For the past 2 years I have integrated GF/DF cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc... into family/friend functions (where I am the only one with a GF/DF allergy). No one even knows they are GF/DF sweets, they just love them!!! I have never had one compliant about the sweets, only overwhelming approval and asking for Pam's business card!
