Kane's Cattle Co. — Restaurant in Crystal River

Three of us visited for lunch We really enjoyed it. The service was very good. The food was excellent. We ordered the Tuna bowl which was very good a bit to many beans for me but very flavorful. My wife ordered the 6 oz steak with Brussel sprouts and a wedge salad. The salad was amazing blue cheese was the best I ever had. Steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the Brussel sprouts were also very tasty a little over cooked for me but still very good. Our friend ordered the Chicken spinach salad it stated in the menu is was Sous vide chicken. Which refers to the process of vacuum-sealing food in a bag, then cooking it to a very precise temperature in a water bath. This is the main reason she ordered it because she likes it cooked that way and you don't find many places that cook it that way. The salad was good but the chicken was grilled. When we asked the server about it she inquired about it in the kitchen. They said they cook it Sous vide, then grill it but that isn't what the menu said. So she found the chicken dry. But still good and the bacon dressing was amazing. It all came plated so lovely. We also ordered a Cuban to-go. We finished with the lemon cake which was very light and refreshing. We got the blueberry cheese cake to go which was amazing, with fresh blueberries and shaved white chocolate. We would of gave 5 stars, but for the chicken salad was a bit disappointing but still very good. We look forward to going back and trying everything on the menu it all looks amazing. The price was extremely reasonable for 4 meals at 80.00. The atmosphere is also lovely with a very nice outdoor space. We ate inside do to weather. I take care of an Air BB and will highly recommend this restaurant to my guest as well as my local Friends. I encourage you to stop in,the menu has wonderful options. Unfortunately I forgot to snap the deserts they...

I was on my birthday trip and we were very much looking forward to eating at Kane's. Long story short, our server was very respectful and apologized on behalf of the manager on duty AND the chef if that says anything. My server was not at fault with any of this situation. We both ordered an appetizer which was delicious. We then both ordered the 6oz filet medium rare. Mine came out with little to no pink center and my wife's came out perfectly medium rare. I then showed our server the comparison between them and how they were supposed to be the same temperature but clearly mine was overcooked. The server took the steak to show the chef, and came back and told me "the chef said that this is medium rare"...I said no it is not unfortunately. The manager brings out the 3rd attempt of a medium rare steak and (no shocker to me who has spent many years in the food industry) was completely raw in the middle...This was completely on purpose but this is besides the point. I just wanted to enjoy my birthday and my steak. The manager continued to explain to me how the first steak was a different size than my wife's and "that is what medium rare looks like with a smaller cut"...EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE SAME EXACT SIZE CUT. "Kane's Cattle Co" I would assume know how to cook a steak on at least the 2nd attempt...The chef finally got it correct with the 4th attempt. Perfectly cooked medium rare steak. Sides were phenomenal. I really wish the manager and chef had been more respectful and cared about our business and simply apologized instead of trying to convince me that it was medium rare because then I could have been writing a 5 star review. I truly hope this does not happen to anyone else. This was on Saturday May 18th at...

Such a good first impression, we are having our rehearsal dinner in April here now! Between an elderly/disabled mother and 2 autistic children, my lunch could not have been more delightful. The spot on décor drew my youngins right in, and we loved being seated in the bar area which didn’t make you feel like you were “ina bar” at all. Our server Jess was very attentive and knowledgeable! She was so patient with our “first time euphoria” and very helpful with all our needs. And what a bar it is I must say, had all the “weird staples” a true full liquor bar should, PLUS a cornucopia of modern trend taste delights!

A compact menu packed with proper variety. Many delicious options, but not overwhelming with choice. The “asian fare” is a genius match to the heavier “steakhouse” options. After reading reviews, I have to join the consensus that these salads are TO DIE FOR! Which is funny to say about a steak joint, but it shows how much they care about everything they serve! Grilled romaine ermagherd!

I always test a “steak place” with a burger, because it shows you care about the WHOLE menu! And boy did they deliver a no nonsense classic that focuses on the meat not a pile of toppings hiding it. Was ecstatic to see that they only had one burger option, and it was to die for with nothing more than the most classic of toppings. Didn’t even need the pickles it was so good! And my mothers (not gonna butcher the name) BBQ Eel bowl was so good I didn’t even get to try it!

Can’t wait to comeback and sample the whole menu and all the servers delicious personal...
