I would give 4 stars for service from the employees. They weren't super friendly/talkative/engaging, but they were courteous/respectful and provided good service in a timely fashion. The check was about $45 for a bacon cheeseburger, a little hamburger without the bun, one order of large fries, 2 milkshakes, and 15% gratuity. That is not cheap, but maybe we're paying for quality and fair wages, right? That's not a problem if the food is awesome. Unfortunately, the food was super disappointing. Very small amounts of toppings, for example: approx. 2 tablespoons worth of diced onions. The grilled onions looked almost indistinguishable from the raw. We're talking barely cooked/still crunchy. Sautéed mushrooms were squishy and slimy...barely heated up. Kinda gross. I mean, I was hungry so I ate, but it was super disappointing since we waited outside til they opened, paid a lot of money, and then got a mediocre meal. You know? This is the 2nd time we've been to this location and we won't be returning. The last time was ok, but not great. The one in Central Park in Fredericksburg is badass. We'll just stick to that one for our...
Read moreI really enjoy five guys food. I know the prices have gone up fine I make a choice to go there the purchase the food. I've never really had a problem with the food itself. Sometimes occasionally the food won't turn all that great.
Problem I'm having now is walking up and paying for my meal and then asking me about a tip. There is no waiter, there is no waitress. The fact that you're advertising tips is a disgrace. And I won't be going there very often anymore if at all because of this. I've noticed when I pay for the food and I push "no tip", the demeanor on the cashier changes drastically. Not just here but everyone I've been through so far. I know a lot of people feel uncomfortable not tipping. I personally don't care and I have no qualms that I pushing that no tip button because it's not deserved or worked for. My reviews for this location will match the movie theater that I've gone to which also asked for tips at the concession center. It's getting...
Read moreWe showed up at five guys in Culpeper about 45 minutes before they closed. The store was spotless and it was clear that if no one had walked through the door, they could have just shut everything down and walked out the door at the end of their shift. But they greeted us with friendly smiles, and cooked up our order perfectly and quickly! There wasn't even a hint that they were disappointed that we walked in, they treated us like they we're at the beginning of the shift rather than the stragglers who came in and undid all their pre-close cleaning. While I do understand that this is the way it should be, I understand that it often isn't. So hats off to five guys and their stellar employees, feeding tired travellers...
