First time going to this restaurant. It was late night and they were the only ones opened late so we figure we give it try. 30 minutes before closing time. Everyone seemed to be nice except for one employee. A young girl with a bad attitude. First she tossed some greens and sprinkled a few grains of rice in our bowls. Then literally tossed our scooped ingredients with force and anger in our bowls. When it came to dressing she squirted the dressing like a crazy maniac like a half a cup of dressing each squirt. She squeezed so hard that her arms and face got splattered with dressing. She just wiped herself off in front of us like it was a normal way of serving customers. The splattered dressings also landed on most of the other sides that were on the trays. We ended up with a bowl of drenched dressing almost like a soup. We ate some of it but couldn’t finish eating half way through our food because it didn’t look quite appealing and just figured this was the way this dish was supposed to look and just thought that this was their way or style of serving at this restaurant. After we left we searched other picture reviews and realized how disgusting our bowls looked compared to other’s. Overall I think taste is great. That girl needs to be removed or look for a different type job. She’s clearly not happy working there and shouldn’t take her anger out customers. What upsets me the most is that she did all this in front of her manager and coworkers and none of them stopped her or pulled her to the side. Only the gentlemen at the cashier was so kind he gave us free drinks....
Read moreCava is hand's down my favorite place in this area and quite possibly in all of Culver City. Great food, healthy options, a big variety of styles and flavors, and amazing staff (What's up Diego and Ivan!!) who I now consider friends as well as employees of this fine establishment. They get you in and out fast, plenty of choices from dips to side items to protein and veggie options, interesting and refreshing toppings, just an all around amazing flavor combination profile and all in a framework that allows you to be as health and calorie conscious or not as you choose. I can't escape getting the amazing pita bread with every meal, so sometimes I skip the rice/lentils. I love their green harissa sauce as a perfect topping to any dish, and the cabbage, shirazi salad, and huge banana peppers are a must to any bowl for me. Can't rave about this place enough! You gotta try it!! I have spent almost $1K at this place (Sign up for their loyalty app to pay with your phone and gain discounts, free meals, and I don't know what at the $1K second tier, but i am excited to find out soon.) in the last 6 months and I am going for...
Read moreLately I've had to tell the truth about some eating spots. I'm not trying to mess with the owner's money but eating spots needs to be a lil cleaner...
I didn't plan on going inside this restrauant to pick up my food, but I'll say this if, I were passing by and looked at the food display and cleaniness of the food area I would have keep walking.
After hassling with the parking just to pick up a Greek Chicken Pita and lemonade, I almost gave up... Cool Laker fan UPS guy gave me instructions to get there inside the mall. He was not intresrested in my idea of getting rid of A.D.
Anyway, after 40 minutes and settling back down in the office. I decided not to eat the pita (and I was hungry) and poured out the lemonade. I would post what the pita looks like but....it's sort of graphic...
I think I will start...
