Sweetfin Poke Culver City — Restaurant in Culver City

My girlfriend and and were in the area and in the mood for poke so we decided to give sweetfin a shot. The place is small but clean, no seating inside but plenty of tables outside at the ivy station complex. The person taking our order was friendly and very helpful. There is an option to order a fixed combinations or a option to build your own. Building a custom bowl is way more fun so I choose that option. I went with yellow fin tuna, creamy torgarashi, with a kelp noddle base. I also opted to add avocado, crispy garlic, wasabi and a side of chili oil. Cost was about $20 per bowl including the extra toppings. It took them about 10 minutes to complete the bowls, it was a beautiful day so the wait was not an issue.

My bowl was damn good. Generous serving with fresh ingredients - the tuna tasted like it was just pulled from the ocean.

The food tasted excellent, however I was APPALLED at the way that the manager or whoever he was, screamed at the young woman preparing my food. Whoever, he was had the audacity to sit their doing literally nothing yet scream and curse loudly and embarrassingly at the young woman who was preparing the food. Instead of taking my order himself he screamed for someone else and screamed at the employees some more while he sat there doing nothing. I seriously have never been more appalled by someone's behavior. So much so that I asked another employee if this was a common occurrence and he said it was just "kitchen stuff." I truly hope you immediately terminate this person's employment. It is such an embarrassment to your establishment that you hire people like this, let alone let them lead. Such a foul and awful representation of your business, fire this person immediately and promote the young woman working hard and enduring this...

I usually order from this location for pick up (9 Times now), food is great but one of the employees here have the worst possible attitude. He seems to be a younger kid maybe in high school. Needs to work on his communication skills, one of the rudest employees I've dealt with as a customer. Won't greet me when I walk in or even when handing me my order. Just a stank face. I'd understand if I was being rude, but I didnt even say a word and he just looks at me as if hes not supposed to at least greet a customer let alone anyone coming into the store.
