My husband and I went to this location for diner and as we walked up to the counter the kid- Elias taking the order was talking, laughing and playing around with whom a later discovered was the manager-a young blonde female about his age. He asked me what i wanted to order so i began to tell him. However; even after he had asked me to tell him what i wanted he continued to laugh and play around with "the manager" (using it loosely). In the past, every person taking our order go over it to make sure it is correct. Well this kid didn't and switched to my husband and seemed as he just wanted to be done and over with us. Of course after my husband paid, he discovered that our rewards hadn't been applied to our order but charged for it instead. The manager then, told my husband what he should've done in order to get the rewards applied. My husband had done that as soon as we've walked in and we had never had a problem with it since it's not the fist time we use our rewards. Of course there were people paying attention to what they were doing. When we got our food, I soon discovered my food was wrong. I went to the only person in sight and available... the cook whose name on tag said Brandon. He told me he would tell the manager about the issue and so he did. He quickly began to fix my food and was extremely professional and polite about the situation. Because of him alone, i give this place a 4 star. He made sure he made my food as I expected and fix the issue without delay. But, I never saw the manager, she never came to talk to us or even seemed concerned about what happeend. This type of management really give this location a bad impression therefore, if you visit here...make sure to check that they take your order as you want and check your receipt to make sure they don't over charge you just because they are not paying attention. Thank you Brandon you are truly a great employee for the people who own this place and I hope they praise...
Read moreI am currently nursing my 2 month old baby who has cow's milk protein allergy (aka I can't have dairy). We went in to order and I said, "I want to do a build your own sub with grilled chicken. All I want on it is lettuce and black olives. So nothing else on it like dressing or any other toppings." I went home and ate half of the sandwich without realizing that provolone cheese was melted into the chicken. My baby gets extremely sick with dairy and it can take a week or more to get out of a system because of the proteins that don't break down. This means that now she will be miserable and have bad acid reflux and vomiting to the point where she chokes and can't breathe. When I realized that I had eaten cheese, I couldn't stop crying. I have been working really hard, avoiding foods that bother her only for it to be ruined carelessly. My mom ended up calling on my behalf because I was too upset, and very nicely let the supervisor know what happened and that they should be more careful because it has repercussions. The supervisor did not even apologize, and just insisted that unless you EXPLICITLY say "no cheese" then it will come with cheese - doesn't matter that I reiterated multiple times that all I wanted on it was lettuce/black olives and nothing else. I don't know the firehouse sub menu, so this may be true but they should have said "Oh, well it comes with cheese, do you still want the cheese?" Or something. Also the lack of remorse from the supervisor (even though it was handled nicely and we did not want it remade) was...
Read moreOverall, love firehouse but I always seem to have issues with this spot whenever my family and I go to the Dawson location. Not so much food, but always one server specifically. Been 3 times and there’s always one girl that always tends to get an attitude with me or my wife whenever we go in, as if it’s a bother for her to do her job.
First time was a few months back, it was her and a few others working. She was taking inventory of the chips, my family and I waiting, she gets ill, comes back around the counter slams her pad down in the counter. I asked her if there was an issue, she claimed there was not I said if there was we’d take our business elsewhere. She came back with some remark, I said that’s fine, and we walked out.
The most recent was this past Sunday (4-11-21), she was working the counter preparing the orders. I went to pick up our order, I asked if we could get a few extra pickles. She looked at me like I had a unicorn horn that magically sprouted from my forehead, rolled her eyes and slammed them down on the counter.
I get that we all have bad days, hell maybe I’m just the unlucky one that catches her in all of hers, but if this is how you react to simple situations, you do not need to be in the...
