Starbucks — Restaurant in Cumming

Hands down, this used to be my favorite Starbucks location I have ever been to. Sadly, the location has severely gone down hill ever since their remodel. The cafe is no longer comfortable like the original setup was. It was very unique and beautiful and now it looks like a general corporate cut out. I did understand that a lot of the remodel was to make the work space and experience for the employees better so I get and support that. Over time, I have come to this location less and less, despite my care for the people I came to know that work there. Please know that I do think the majority of the employees here are wonderful. The reason I’m giving a 1 star review is because my food was given to me cold today, which has never happened to me at any location. The fact that all of Starbucks food is frozen and thawed, and considering their prices have gotten even higher, this is simply an unacceptable occurrence, and it is highly unlikely that I will be returning to this location. I drive-thru here for coffee a couple times a week. Food & drinks are consistently well-made. Staff have always been friendly to me. Pre-Covid, I used to go inside as well. I loved that their corkboard highlighted & supported local non-profits, as well as people with special needs.

7/2021 Covid Update: With so many unknowns, I greatly appreciate that all the staff here continue to wear masks. I know masks are uncomfortable. Thank you so much to staff for wearing them. This makes me feel even better & safer about my experiences here.

I used to really like this Starbucks, but my order has been consistently messed up the last few times I’ve been through the drive though. Today being probably the last time I come here - not sure why I keep giving Starbucks a try. I ordered a bento iced green tea lemonade and was handed a grande one and when I said that I ordered a venti, the barista asked me if I still wanted it made into a venti to which I replied yes. I was ready to pay extra for the venti since she charged me for a grande apparently, but she just aggressively (and clearly upset) made a venti green tea lemonade. The drink tasted like straight up lemonade and was like 90% ice. I’ve gotten this super simple drink many times before, I didn’t realize someone could mess it up so badly. Just a waste of money and her negativity just ruined...
