FANTASTIC!!! I have recently purchased some high end, rare maps from the 1600-1700's. I was of course concerned about not only finding a place who could handle such rare items with the proper care, but also wanted certain types of glass for the proper UV and shatter resistant protection. I was walked through the selection process with ease. They were extremely patient with my OCD self ;) We compared frames and mats as well as the different types of glass.
One piece, as pictured, was a real challenge, as it's a double sided map. It was printed in 1606 and only 300 copies were made. I wanted it to be seen from both sides of the frame. I went to a previous framer and he said it could not be done. Peachtree Hill Gallery took on the challenge and with their 30 years of experience, knocked it out of the park!! It came out beautiful and perfect. I used the Tru Vue Museum Optium Acrylic.
This will be the only place I go to for all my framing. Now, I just have to somehow let my wife know about all these rare maps I bought and are...
Read moreWhat an absolute delight working with this family owned and operated business. Not only was the service FAR more personal than you'll find at any given corporate chain store, the prices were also ultra-competitive. I went in with a custom framing job - a special gift that had a lot of personal meaning. It involved multiple pieces and required a skilled eye to lay it out and match it with an appropriate matte and frame. Ron and Linda spent as much time working with me as it took to ensure that everything was planned to my satisfaction.
Barely a week later I went in to pick up a gorgeous finished product, and when I walked in I felt like family.
There's no question that I'll go back for the next framing job. A word of advice to all actively seeking a custom framing project: don't wait around for a corporate coupon to show up in the mail; go to Peachtree Hill Gallery and work with the kindest, most talented and most welcoming people in the business. You...
Read moreI brought more than a few photos, from very old (40 years+) to recent, all really close to my heart, as they are either from my family or my husband's and my in-laws have entrusted me with theirs. All of them have a special story behind them, memories. As we went about selecting mats and frames, both listened to my stories patiently and with interest and helped me pick the best combinations for all my photos. They didn't have to, but they were genuinely interested - they made me feel like I have known them for 20 years. When I came back to pick up my photos, only one week later, the job was spectacular, just beautiful. They recognized my and knew me by name - who does that nowadays? I brought my husband in to introduce him - he was famous after all the stories! It is an incredible experience...great service, high quality craftsmanship and a small town feel and camaraderie that just doesn't exist any more. I cannot recommend this...
