Today both my kids and I went to my son's classmate's birthday at Chuck E Cheese at Cupertino again and we had a great time until something terrible happened when my son wanted to exchange gifts with remaining points. We stayed in the line until the man named Juan scanned my son's card. Then my son tried to make a choice. After around 3 minutes, my son made his decision and I found Juan scanned other people's point cards, so I waited until he scanned another guest's point card and told the other people that he would serve one at a time. Then I asked whether my son could exchange gifts now. He said he called my son three times and had no response, so he wouldn't exchange gifts for us. I was shocked since I was right in front of Juan and I didn't hear his so-called call. I double checked with my son and my friends, all people didn't hear it. Then whatever I said to Juan, he ignored me. Even other people in the line(not my friends) said we could be served first since we were in the line earlier, he ignored. My son was so disappointed and heartbroken due to Juan's attitude. Then I asked him if I would like to talk to the manager, Juan pointed me to the wrong place. When I went there, they were not managers. Thank God, I hosted my son's birthday party there half a year ago, so I knew where to find a manager. And thanks, Erica, the manager, came to help us. However, I still would like to follow up on what will happen next instead of just giving this 1-star bad feedback. Will Juan get some punishment due to his bad manners and be mean to a 7-year-old boy just because the boy used around 3 minutes to make a decision to exchange gifts? I don't think this is Chuck E Cheese spirit. My family likes Chuck E Cheese, I recommend Chuck E Cheese to my friends since we had a wonderful experience before. I don't want the terrible things that happened today happen again to other guests. I hope I can see Juan get punished due to the fact that he treated guests unfairly. Otherwise, he will continue to be unkind to all of us. Hope Chuck E Cheese could take actions seriously so that all staff could be, at least not...
Read moreIt’s the worse thing they ever did at my local Cupertino Chuck E. Cheese. We took my grandson’s first little family visit for his 2nd birthday this week on Monday there was maybe four people there in the whole place. My grandson, two years old and my other grandson four years old ran directly to the trampoline bypassing all the games I just paid $80 for their unlimited games plus $98 for pizza and drinks and salad, I spent a little over $180 for just the four of us. My grandsons were told very rudely by a young man working there that they had to get out. He was yelling at them so after you spend all that money, you have to buy a trip to the trampolines. It’s not included in anything that you purchase they removed their FREE indoor activity play and slides and replaced it with this . I had to tell the man to please not talk to my grandsons like that. My grandsons were very upset. I was very upset. After getting them, settled and starting to play the games with their cards that I got them, they started feeling better. But all night I continued watching this man rejected children left and right in a very rudely way. This is the worst edition, that they ever made a strongly feel that if you purchase Token passes or spend a certain amount of money. Your children should be allowed access. It was very horrible to see them while other children played. I wasn’t even made aware of this trampoline when I was purchasing our pizzas and gameplay they did not offer it to me or tell me anything about it my first learning experience, and my first knowledge of this trampoline zone was on my grandchildren disappointment when trying to jump. we’ve been going to Chuck E. Cheese for over 16 years. I’m highly...
Read moreThe upgrades and new trampoline area are great additions to this location, everything appeared to be clean and well maintained.
My concern is the employees at this location are in need of immediate training with how to interact with children.
While my child was in the trampoline, one of the employees stood at the entrance of the trampoline and was very unfriendly the entire time. His demeanor was equivalent of a correctional officer constantly telling the children to “get up” when they would sit down in the trampoline. Granted, the rules said they couldn’t lay down, but I feel he could use a friendlier or more enthusiastic tone when speaking to toddlers and children ranging from 3-4 years old.
I tried to ignore it, but I had to confront him when he used a plastic/ foam stick to poke at my daughter because she laid down while telling her to get up. That was HIGHLY inappropriate and unacceptable! The employee was very apologetic, so I don’t believe he was intentionally trying to be malicious, but this is why I believe training is needed. Also, one of the employees the put the wrist band on my child for the trampoline put it on so tight it was cutting into her skin and probably cutting off some circulation, I didn’t know until she told me it hurt and I could barely get it off from how tight it was.
Great location, employees...
