I had heard about Ten Ren Tea, but thought it was only a tea shop. My friend and I came to this plaza to eat and decided to get boba here after. We kept watching the line and the line honestly seemed to always be out the door. We waited in line for maybe 20 minutes. They also sell their own tea, as well as other tea related items.
I ordered the honey lemon green tea with boba and 75% sweet. It was really refreshing! They even put a real slice of lemon in the drink. Even though I asked for less sweet, I think I will get normal sweetness next time. I assume they use a more authentic tea, so it's a little more bitter than usual. Definitely didn't take away from the drink though! The boba also tasted really fresh and had a nice texture. I think that the drinks are a little more expensive for south bay, but it was about the same as sf pricing. Boba was also only an extra 25 cents instead of 50.
I would go here again, especially since they make the drinks pretty fast. For the length of the line, they were really fast. There was plenty of parking nearby. I would put this boba shop in one of my top favorites.
Also note there is a card...
Read moreIf you love truly good tea , like if you're Asian and you know tea, this is the best place in all of bay area for milk tea. They have very strong teas for their milk tea. They milk teas are not diluted tasting all, very full body. May be on the bitter side tho because it's so concentrated. Their loose leaves are also some of the best you can buy. They sell them at this location. You can buy the tea as a cup to drink, and if you like it, buy the loose or bagged tea! They have high end teas available too.
I visited the Bay area, including San Francisco, for a week. I went out of my way to try as much Boba Tea places as I could because my home state doesn't have that many. Ten Ren was the best of them all and the only one I kept coming back to for the week. I bought one pretty much every day I could. They also use paper cups instead of plastic :)
The tea at 25% isn't overly sweet. The toppings are good and not overcooked. The toppings don't overwhelm/change the tea taste. You can truly taste the full tea flavor. I 10/10 recommend this place, coming from a Asian person that grew up drinking milk tea before it became a trend...

If you want great, classic bubble tea, look no further. With a good sized menu, there is something for everyone, including hot drinks, blended drinks, and caffeine free drinks.
I've had a lot of the menu, and here are my favorites. (Note: I like less sweet drinks.)
Black milk tea, 25% sugar with boba or grass jelly. Lychee green tea, 25% sugar with ai-yu jelly, boba, and a slice of lemon. Roasted oolong milk tea, 75% sugar. Almond milk tea, 25% sugar. (It tastes like almond jelly from childhood. 💕)
Even when there are new team members, I have found that the consistency and flavors don't falter. They do things right here.
Parking in this plaza can drive you insane, do make you get three drinks when you come here: one for now, one for the drive home, and one...
