Bel Cool Tasty Pot — Restaurant in Cupertino

The food here gets more and more pricy every year and the lady working there is one of the worst people to deal with. Came in 8:10pm with half the restaurant still full but refused to serve us and told us only to go orders. She said she wants to close at 8:30pm. The restaurant hours say they close at 9:00pm. She would let her regulars come in whatever time they wanted, but others just got shafted. She is absolutely insane.

Reply to owner: I get that the restaurant is short staffed, but the way the lady working the front treating us like we did something wrong by coming into the restaurant was unacceptable. We went to the complex next day to dine at a different restaurant and checked the updated times, but she came out and shouted us for even just standing and looking at the updated opening hours thinking we are planning to dine in. I'm not the only one who had bad encounters with her. I love the food served at the restaurant, but her working there makes me never want to step even close to your restaurant. I only gave 1. Star . I would like to give negative star if I can give because of the following reasons First of all, she doesn’t have respect to the customers. When she brings out the food to us, she acts like throw the food to the trash can. Second, the Chinese server lady is really rude. She is always yelling to us. Maybe it’s her normal voice but for the customers, it’s like she wanna fight with us. Third, she never listened what customers want to order. She is always in hurry and never patience. Fourth, (THE MAIN FACT I DONT LIKE) is about the tips. She never asked us how much tips do we want to give and she always charged as much as she wants. Tips is optional and If you don't want to give it, you don't give it. But she always charged in the receipt. Interesting new restaurant that offers pick-your-own-ingredients dry pot. You pick anything you want from the meat and vegetable selection, choose your spicy level, and they cook it into a pot for you.

Note that spice level is pretty high here, I usually get medium spicy level in most restaurants, but here mild is at about the same level. The frog legs were really plump and tender, that was the best thing I tried. The tofu skin, however, was very dry and tough, do not recommend this ingredient if you like the soft kind. Was a shame since tofu is my favorite protein.
