Went here when other restaurants in town had waiting lists. That should have been the first clue, but after hiking Custer State Park all day, we were starving and didn't feel like waiting any more, so hangriness was setting in.
The service was SLOW, took several minutes to get a waiter to even arrive. The waiter spoke in a thick accent that was barely audible through his mask, but seemed like an overworked nice guy. The restaurant was at probably 90% capacity on a Monday night.
He took our orders (family of 5) and we waited, about 20 minutes later, (not completely unreasonable) the food showed up with 2 of the orders wrong. They were sent back and a side order of shredded cheese was thrown in.
20 more minutes and the waiter looks up from another table he's serving and sees 3 people at our table not eating and remembers the returned orders and addon side that he hadn't checked on since the first delivery. He gives the incredulous "they didn't get your order?" excuse/question and returns in about 5 more minutes, ~1 hour after initial arrival (unreasonable), with the side and 2 orders corrected.
The food itself was passable but far from impressive and priced like you'd expect a tourist destination to cost.
To be fair, the waiter apologized for the mistakes and delays and insisted no tip be included. So maybe our visit was not typical.
Eat here if you are PATIENT, not at all picky, and unconcerned with a schedule, cost, or quality. Otherwise, there are other places in town you may want to wait...
Read moreI feel like I am being generous with giving this place 3 stars...it feels more like a solid 2.5 stars IMO. I don't know if it was just an off night or what but I was overall disappointed with our dinner here. The service was extremely slow. We showed up and half of the tables in the restaurant were empty and not been bussed/cleaned. We were told to wait for someone to clean up the table on the patio (we asked to sit on the patio) three other parties came in, tables cleaned for them and they were seated. We waited nearly 20 minutes and finally asked the host to seat us wherever since it was obvious no one was going to clean up the table on the patio. She apologized and said they were short staffed. We tried to be understanding and were seated in the back of the restaurant. It took a few minutes for a waiter to greet us. He was pleasant and did his best to take care of us. We ordered our food and it came out in what felt like a reasonable time frame. Unfortunately the appetizer came out with the entrees and everything was cold. As far as the flavor goes, the pork appetizer was really good but again it was cold. I had the shrimp Tacos and sadly, they left a lot to be desired. Cold and bland. My husband seemed to like the flavor of his dish, but it was also cold. This place had potential to be pretty good, but fell short this evening. I probably won't return after this poor...
Read moreMy family was visiting Las week. I've heard great reviews so I had to stop by. The food is okay. I had better Mexican foods. Our waiter was taking our orders, he had to stop and walked away to grab drinks for another table then comes back to take my orders. I thought that was rude. He could've finish taking my orders I thought. After we finished our meals, I asked for the check and he gave it to me. Our total came to be $87 something. I give him $100 . He came back with the change and say it in a lower voice "here we require a 15%-20% tip" I thought I heard him wrong, so I say "pardon me" and he repeated the same thing.
I could not believe what I heard. "REQUIRED???
I always leave tips but don't come telling what is requires or how much tip I should leave. I will leave tips on how your services is.
Yes! My husband threw $30 dollars on the table! Will not recommend this restaurant to...
