Read moreFantastic food and amazing new venue! However, even though it wasn't even 7pm when we got there, we felt rushed. The waitress was fantastic, but our main courses were brought out within minutes of our appetizers, and we were asked if we wanted dessert while we still had half of our meal left. When we said we didn't want dessert, the waitress asked us if she can get us some boxes. Then the owners/managers started cleaning the restaurant and bringing in outside furniture, which I felt was very rude. The waitress came over and asked me if the check 'was ready for her' and I couldn't answer because my mouth was full of food. She stood there and waited for me to get my card out. She was very sweet though and I don't think this was her idea. The staff were having beers when we were leaving, and not even one of the five members of staff, that were there, said anything to us, or even looked at us as we walked past them, to leave the. now closed, restaurant. We said 'goodbye' and it was as if they didn't even hear us. I couldn't even finish my one beer that I ordered because they made it more than obvious that they were closed. Going out to eat is a treat for us, and I feel ripped off. Saying that, you cant deny that the food is excellent, and has some amazing...

Rose A. was the server/bartender and asked us what we wanted to drink. I ordered a chardonnay and my husband ordered a beer. We asked if we could start a tab since we were waiting for the other couple and NO...we had to pay then. Then Rose A. asked us how long of a wait before a dining table would be available. We told her we hadn't decided WHERE in Custer we were having dinner tonight....right now we just wanted a few drinks. Then she told us - YOU CANT SIT AT THE BAR THEN....the bar is reserved for patrons waiting for an available table. Hmmmm no one appeared to be standing around waiting for a table. Rose A. went to ask the hostess about the wait time and then she came back to us that said we could sit a few minutes. She was RUDE...... Custer Wolf website shows a picture of the bar (taken by management Feb 2021) with a note: our bar area offers pub style tables and intimate bar seating. WHO has a bar but ONLY allows "certain" people to sit at it and have a drink. We will not be going back here.... many other great bars in...
