This place really deserves 6 out of 5 stars. My teenage daughters were raving about this place - the variety, creativity, beauty, flavor and price of this place. But the thing that won my heart was when my daughter came in and asked if they have anything without avocado because she is allergic, Vinh, the owner, shouted to everyone to ensure no avocado was present for her order. She was blown away by the graciousness and cheerful nature of the whole staff to prepare food that fits everyone's lifestyle. My ex-husband invited me to join him and the girls for breakfast there today. I couldn't have been more delighted or surprised at the display case filled with a complex variety of sushis, rolls, nigiri, poke, and dumplings. I am going through chemo and my doctor recommended a primarily plant-based diet. Vinh joyfully explained he can make anything vegan, including a whole platter of "sushi" that looks like a variety of the real thing but it was vegan. The menu is outrageously creative. We went for breakfast and ordered a slew of bao sandwiches: Kickin' chicken parmesan, sausage and egg, chorizo and egg, musubi (teriyaki Spam, egg and avocado), salmon and egg, and these insane breakfast egg rolls!! That's right, breakfast eggrolls. What a happy, happy first experience. And they come with an incredible sesame seed dipping sauce. To take home, I grabbed myself the Tropical Spring Rolls served with Mai Ploy sweet chili dipping sauce. Wow. What a refreshing sweet and savory take on fresh spring rolls. I also scooped up a coconut shrimp roll which looks incredible with shaved coconut on it. Run, don't walk to 7Friday Sushi. You can dine in, but there are only a handful of chairs as this is primarily a grab-and-go sushi stop. But we were warmly welcomed to eat there and take in all the greatness of the display case, and watching the very nice staff preparing beautiful delights.

7Friday is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants. They have tasty vegan sushi options that are clearly labeled on the menu's dedicated vegan section, which is a big plus for a vegetarian like myself. And not just rolls with the fish left off, but with actual plant-based alternatives (the fried tofu in the vegan dragon spring roll is an amazing protein addition!). My meat-but-not-seafood-eating husband is not a sushi fan, but he really likes their chicken and pork baos; this is great for me because it means I don't have to miss out when I'm craving sushi just because he's with me! They do have a few chairs and a couple of bar-height counters along the walls for dining in if you want to eat there, but it definitely seems to be catered more towards takeout than in-person dining. Luckily for me, I live close enough that my hot items will stay warm and my cold items won't get soggy by the time I get them home for dinner. If you're a non-traditional sushi fan like me, I would definitely recommend you give 7Friday a try!

edit : this has been ordered online on your website, and i pick it thru drive thru, when i order online it should be made from fresh other wise i wouldve came in and picked directly from fridge, plus this was 2 item orders how do you make one fresh and the other one the chef decided to pick from fridge? makes no sense here original I’ve given this place several chances because I wanted to believe the quality would improve, but unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. the hurricane sushi was so disappointing that I couldn’t eat it and had to throw it away. The sushi didn’t taste fresh at all. The onions were soft and wet instead of crisp, and the shrimp tempura inside the roll tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge—definitely not freshly made. As soon as I opened the container, there was an unpleasant smell that made me question the freshness right away.

7 Friday Sushi is truly a hidden gem that my family and I stumbled upon. Despite being nestled away, the warmth of the owner's hospitality and the exceptional quality of their sushi quickly made it a favorite haunt for us. The owner's consistent presence and genuine friendliness add a personal touch to the dining experience.

What sets 7 Friday Sushi apart is their willingness to cater to individual preferences, crafting custom sushi combinations on the spot. This level of flexibility ensures that each visit is a unique culinary adventure.

Beyond sushi, their menu offers delightful surprises like the irresistible Shaggy Dog Bao, which has become a cherished favorite among my family members.

It's evident that the owner, deeply rooted in Cypress, takes pride in his establishment. His passion for providing exceptional food and service resonates throughout the restaurant. Coupled with the friendly and efficient staff, the ambiance is welcoming and vibrant.

Moreover, 7 Friday Sushi offers incredible value for the quality they deliver. This establishment proves that exceptional sushi doesn't have to come with an exorbitant price tag.

For those in search of a remarkable sushi experience, coupled with personalized service and a sense of community, I wholeheartedly recommend 7 Friday Sushi. It's more than just a dining spot; it's a local treasure waiting to...

Edited 12/23/2024: We have been back a few times and the service was much better. Did not have to wait as long and there were more people working. They did refund my order after I left the negative review, which I was not expecting. All of our friends that frequent here have always said positive things. We so enjoy their sushi and will continue buying fro them.

We have been ordering food from 7 Sushi since they opened. The last two times (within the last 2 weeks) we have had terrible service. Last weekend when we ordered we got home with our food and half of our order was missing. Lesson learned, we should have checked the bag. They did credit us for the missing food but still a pain since we didn’t want to drive the 15 min back to pickup. Today I placed another pickup order online . It was supposed to be ready at 7:30. It’s 5 after 8 and I’m still waiting. Several people were waiting when I got here. I saw one couple come back inside after getting their order because something was wrong. Another person that ordered at the counter when I got there was given his order and something was missing. There was another lady and kid waiting when I got there and still waiting when I left. The food is great but they should either have more people staffed or train them to be...
