This place, food-wise, is okay. Salsa was not spicy enough, adobada was a little too greasy, and the burrito was 15 dollars before tax and tip, with no chips and salsa. It's kind of a pricy place besides what some would consider a mom and pop hole-in-the-wall joint. What really made me draw to the 5 stars was the stellar service and friendly staff, and honestly experiences are what make food the difference between good and bad. We ordered a adobada burrito, for myself and my partner to share. It was big enough for us to share, but we're both skinny people who don't eat much so the portion size would be big enough for one person. We were asked about if we wanted to add cheese to the burrito, and we decided on it due to the recommendation by the staff member, but unfortunately we couldn't find any cheese. They have an open-style kitchen and I was able to see the cheese they use for their menu, but either the cheese was missing, or there was not enough to where we were wondering where it was.
After eating, the same staff member asked me how it was and I told her about the issue with the cheese for future customers, and without hesitation she offered to make a new one to make it right for us. We declined but she insisted, and to me that speaks true hospitality and guest service. While the food could have been better, especially for the price, I will be coming back for the stellar guest experience I had. Thank you Josie for looking out for...
Read moreWe have been waiting for this location to open so we came as soon as we heard it was go time!
Choose from tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas, or mulitas. They have fries and a few side items, too.
Fillings include pollo, asada, adobada (pork) or jamaica (hibiscus).
Plates include rice, beans and a drink. Beans and rice portion is quite small so don’t expect to be full.
Of course I had to order off menu and get the super mulitas which has BOTH adobada and asada. Next time I’d just get the regular plate with rice & beans.
We also tried the tacos with adobada. The meat was awesome, rice was amazing and beans were great.
We tried the torta, too. I think this was my favorite with the adobada. Tried both the green and red salsa. We both both preferred the red as it was super flavorful.
The best item we had was the Sandia drink, which is a watermelon michelada. So amazingly good. Next time we will try the mango habanero one.
Staff was super friendly. I love that we have a new go to place for Mexican food! Yay.
Welcome to the neighborhood, Tacomasa. See you...
