Uroko Poke — Restaurant in Cypress

I'm not entirely if sure if this business is family-owned or not, but they should seriously talk with ALL the employees about pricing and policies in how to treat customers! ESPECIALLY MARLENE! SHE IS GIVING FREE SCOOPS!

This was my first time going, and I was curious to see the proprtions. While in line, I noticed the customer in front of me was asking extra crabmeat. The girl, Marlene, was very friendly and gave him 2 extra scoops. He got charged a decent price, so I asked for 2 extra scoops as well.

When I was charged, I noticed I was charged me extra. I asked why, and she simply told me it was extra before rudely walking away. I walked away confused but then came back and asked for them to break down the price.

When the girl explained to me the extra charge was because of the extra scoops, I was PISSED! I HAD NO IDEA IT WAS EXTRA! THE GUY BEFORE ME HAD THE SAME AMOUNT AND WAS NOT CHARGED AT ALL! NO COUPON! NO DEALS, NOTHING! EXACTLY THE SAME ORDER!

I REMEMBER HE SAID "MARLENE" IN A FLIRTY WAY, SO I DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS BECAUSE HE WAS FLIRTING WITH HER, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!

I finally discovered the gem of poke restaurants - Uroko Cafe, after having it on my list for forever! This fast-paced eatery serves up the freshest and most mouth-watering poke bowls I've ever had. The staff is friendly and efficient, making ordering a breeze.

For my order, I got a bowl of white rice with two scoops of protein - spicy tuna and octopus, mixed with the Original Sauce. The portions for proteins, as well as sides and toppings, were generous! However, the spicy tuna was not as spicy as I hoped for. The octopus was chopped into small pieces instead of chunky ones.

Not to mention, parking is a breeze even during the busy lunch hour. You can easily park on the side of the building, which is conveniently located next to the Courtyard by Marriott.

I came here for the first time this week and was super pleasantly surprised. It’s very clean inside and there’s lots of parking. The menu is confusing for a first timer, but the employees are super helpful and patient. I don’t remember the name of the employee who helped me - she was an Asian woman in her 40s, but she was amazing. Assisted me patiently and explained the ingredients of my order to me. I ordered the salmon poke bowl and asked for some of the vegan protein - it was delicious and fresh. No complaints. They even offer avocado with the bowl at no extra cost.
