I stayed on a business trip for one week. The staff was more than helpful. No complaints from any part of my stay. I received a ride from the nearby airport, from the hotel shuttle. The shuttle arrived on time and the driver,Javier was very courteous. Once I arrived, the check in process was smooth took less than 2 minutes. I had requested a ride to the local grocery store from the hotel shuttle to take advantage of the kitchen available in the room. I unpacked and 30 minutes later i was off to the grocery store in the hotel shuttle. They dropped me off and I requested I call for the ride back, because I tend to take long. I called the hotel, as was done at the supermarket. They arrived in less than 5 minutes and off we were. The room had a very modern look and very clean and great smell. The room was very spacious. The couches had a L shape and were very comfortable and they came with 3 stylish pillows. The dinner table doubled nicely as a desk for productive work throughout the week. I was on the 3rd floor and got a nice balcony spot to let some nice California breeze in as i felt a bit chilly with the AC, not that it wasnt functioning. The kitchen had most of the tools needed to prepare a nice meal on the stovetop or with pans. Such tools as a cutting board, plenty of knives, forks ,spoons assortments of plates and bowls. There is even a cheese grater which was great and came in handy for taco night. There is no oven in the room, which was a small dissappointment, but not the end of the world. There is a microwave and a garbage disposal built into the sink. There was a full fridge which felt bigger than the one at my house. It also had a built in ice maker in the freezer. They also had an ice machine if u wanted to venture down the hall to the laundry room. I did not do laundry but did check out the laundry room because I was curious. You need quarters to use the laundry machines. I neber attempted to use them as i packed olenty to not have to do laundry. The hotel also offers a laundry service that info was in the closet but i didnt use. I did take full advantage of the gym offered, which was open 24 hours which was great for me. They have 3 treadmills, 1 bike machine, and 1 eliptical machine for cardio. They had dumbell sets up to 50lbs. A digital scale to check your weight. And a multi use resistancr tupe machine. Also a purified water machine with disposable cups. The room was very cold but was comfortable once you started to sweat. The outside area in the middle of the hotel has a gas firepit which is on til about 10 or 11pm. They also have 4 gas grills for guests to use. In the middle area is where the pool and hot tub is. I didnt use the pool or hot tub, but it looked great. Everything went as planned thriughout the stay, my room was remade every day perfectly by the maid staff. Everyone always greeted you with.a smile and acknowledged every guests presence. Great stay I would highly recomend to anyone needing to stay...
Read moreLocated about half an hour from Disneyland, so park goers who are driving would do well to stay here. The area itself is pretty much in the middle of a business park though, so not too much in the way of groceries or food (the Courtyard by Marriott has a strip of restaurants right beside it). That being said, its location doesn’t make it any cheaper than a hotel you’d find much closer to the park.
Do not recommend that you stay in a room that’s facing the pool/fire ring though - you can drown out the noise with your own music, but the pool gets pretty loud and it doesn’t close until 10PM. Perhaps the only good thing is the complimentary breakfast which was pretty good (they also have waffles on occasion and an omelette station, in addition to miso soup and rice). Beds were comfy and rooms spacious. Each room also has a complete set of cooking utensils, cutlery, plates, etc. for 4 people, so if you do actually find a grocery you can cook food in your room.
Everything else about the hotel was resoundingly ok. The hotel isn’t what you could call spotless - the kitchen counters aren’t wiped down everyday, the bathroom looks a little worse for wear, the floors were sticky, and they don’t seem to care about smells on the property. Then again, it’s hard to expect a super clean room given each floor has over 50 rooms in it. I only say this because the first room we were given upon check in was a musty room that reeked of weed the minute we stepped in. When we mentioned this to our house host (what they call front desk), all they said was “Oh”. I don’t think they have a good picture of what’s happening in their hotel if that’s the case. I don’t care what you do in your own time, and toking up is to be expected in Cali. But it’s just something to consider if you don’t like the smell of weed, especially given the fact that the hotel bills itself as a family friendly one (and there were quite a lot of families who were there, as well a handful of party animals). To the house host’s credit though, they gave us another room that was decidedly more fragrant, but faced the pool.
The hotel was really a mixed bag for our party. It’s definitely not for leisure travellers but decidedly caters to the Disney crowd. If I was in LA again to visit friends I would definitely not stay here again because of the lack of upkeep (which is a bit shocking considering the hotel also prides itself on being pretty new). I might consider the place however for a Disney trip but it will be right at the...
Read moreSuper clean hotel! Minor Issues I experienced: Our door would not stay locked. We would exit, pull the lever to test it didn't open but we never realized it could just be pushed open. BUT I called the front desk, they sent someone up and in less that 20 minutes they resolved the door hardware issue. They do not charge for parking but you would expect there to be enough parking onsite. Unfortunately, if you don't arrive back at your hotel before 11pm, parking can prove challenging. On one night we were told to park across the street as they no longer had any spaces available. We were not happy about our long walk with everything we had to carry. The entry vestibule to the King size room we had was really tight. You couldn't have someone hanging clothes in the closet and someone trying to exit the room or enter the bathroom. again, MINOR inconvenience. Wouldn't keep me from renting the same room. What WOULD keep me from renting the same room would be the humming sound that came from god knows where, that happened throughout the day and night. I came to the conclusion the noise must have been a generator or something on the roof (our room was on the 3rd flr)? It was real annoying and kept me from falling asleep. It would last anywhere from about 10- 20 minutes at a time. It bothered my husband less than it bothered me. PROs!!!!!!!!! Their breakfast station isn't just cereal and toast. They had pancakes, sausages, diced potatoes, eggs...like a legit breakfast. Good too! The pool, jacuzzi and outdoor fire pit area with music was really clean and inviting. The weather was (So-Cal) cold so there were still people using the hot tub and pool even after dark in December. Free Wi-Fi! The front desk was always super helpful, friendly and prompt. It is one of the higher priced hotels in the Stanton/Cypress area but you pay for the security and cleanliness. It's a 20min drive to Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farms. The hotel's cross street is Katella, so getting to Disney is super easy, you just drive down Katella for 20min or 15...
