I have lived in Dahlonega for four years, I typically rely on McDonald's for a late night nutrient source because it is the only restaurant that serves after midnight in the bustling metropolis of Dahlonega. However, in four years I have lost more money than the entire town has on scratch off tickets due to the employees inability to read. I know, I know in the age of technology and Google you must be saying "who doesn't know how to read!?!?". Regrettably, illteracy it is a job requirement at the Dahlonega McDonald's. I can only imagine how the workplace looks after 10PM, it must look like Hellen Keller and Stevie Wonder fighting over a slippery salmon. The precentage of orders I have received that have been correct, after midnight, rivals Shaq's free throw precentage. I can only imagine what the employment requirements are for the night crew shift. " Blink twice if you know you exist" "congrats, you're hired." What a monumental failure this establishment is, tonight I worked until midnight, and trotted on to my neighborhood daycare to get some grub. Upon arriving to the order station, I asked if I could have two orders. Apparently two orders is too hard because they have to push more than two buttons on their calculator. On top of math being a real difficulty for the golden arch, so are learning how to use debit cards. My teller was FIRED UP when I handed him cash, probably because of the fact that he could do simple cash math on his fingers. Once he processed my change for a $20 using his brain that is running a Windows 97 operating system, he smiled at his mathematical accomplishment that he will go home to his wife and boast about, and handed me MORE CHANGE than the entirety of my order. Along with that they gave me a random soda, forgot my fries, and basically just gave me every uncooked iteam that they had left over. So I am starting a campagin, in the arms of the angel, Sarah Mcglocklan Plays if you would like to donate to see these helpless employees learn how to due basic functions such as read on a third grade level, please venmo me...
Read moreI have put off doing this review for awhile. I really hoped service would get better. NOPE JUST WORSE! DAY SHIFT IS HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE IN EVERY SINGLE WAY!!! Maria (manger) is the most unprofessional store manager I've ever dealt with in fast food. After their mistake of getting my order wrong she was very hateful when I asked for my order to be corrected. Cold fries, getting items I didn't order, the meat was so dried out (like it was very old) Didn't get items requested on burger, but yet charged for it. The food tasted just plain nasty here. My frappe had carmel dripping down the side of cup. Which made a huge mess in itself when handed out because you can't just wipe off carmel (napkin now stuck in pieces on my hand from trying to wipe the carmel off). The thing is it has been like this EVERYTIME ON DAY SHIFT FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW. Literally every single time my order has been wrong. Now on the flip side I've also been here on 3rd shift and Kelly is GREAT!!!! It is slow and I mean slow. Usually because poor Kelly is having to do it all with cars wrapped around the building. She definitely needs help on her shift. Kelly handles it! She is always very pleasant and smiling. My food is always fresh and correct when she works. Little FYI McDonald's Ms.Kelly would make a wonderful store manger. I really hope McDonald's takes my review in to consideration because I know I speak for a lot of people when I say McDonald's in Dahlonega has absolutely went to hell!!!!! ☆☆☆UPDATE☆☆☆ DIFFERENT STAFF BUT SAME ISSUES! MCDONALD'S IN DAHLONEGA GA SERIOUSLY NEEDS HELP! HELP AS IN HOW TO ACCURATELY FIX A ORDER AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. THIS PLACE IS JUST HORRIBLE ALL...
Read moreIf I was able to give the 0 stars I would! They don't keep good nightshift employees. I work nightshift and have to go in at 3, this is sapposed to be a 24 hour McDonald's but for a good few weeks I would get there at around 2:30- 3 in the morning and I would have to call them while I sat in the drive throught waiting on someone to answer, they would tell me they would be with me in a minute and I would sit there till about 3:15... I understand if your switching shifts or have to cook for breakfast but it shouldn't take that long to get my order!
Tonight I had to come straight to work and one of my coworkers wanted food so she ordered on the app. When she got there they were all outside standing around talking. They said the system was down after they asked if the order was for her (saying her name and everything) witch they usually are cash only after 2 or so because of that. Then there excuse was that they already threw away all the food they had, and wouldn't be cooking again till 5:30, and they could not refund her the money. On the app it says you McDonald's has to do the refund. But she has to wait for the app to reset it. So now it's going to be up to 15 days.
It should not say 24 hours if it's not 24 hours. Your paying them to sit around for at least 2 hours and that's a you problem but when I have the expectation to be able to get something to eat befor I have to be at work, that effects me for the next 8+ hours, I don't get food where I work, so if I'm running late and think I might have a quick fix for the problem then disappointed that others don't care to...
