  1. In September 2024, I reserved 3 nights for an event in Dahlonega, GA, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Called the hotel to revise the confirmation to 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. Instead they incorrectly changed the reservation to Thursday and Friday and expected the room to be vacated - ahead of the event that I was be attending! They cited their "notes in the reservation say..." and would need payment if staying another night. OK, their note taker made an error. We worked through it.||2) However, I was unable to attend the event because of an emergent family health issue. After requesting, "Management" refused to issue credit for future use let alone refund my prepayment. They referenced their 14-day cancellation notice and the link provided in their confirmation to purchase travel insurance. OK, caveat emptor. ||3) I availed the room to any of the other event attendees. I had a family member to take care of. I'm sure in your experience hoteliers issue room keys/codes upon presentation of one's personal identification. Evidently, not here, because someone was given the room. The following day, "Management" texted that they "never received the updated guest contact information" for the room. ||4) To top it off, "Management" attempted to call AND text me repeatedly after midnight Saturday AND Sunday for noise taking place OUTSIDE of another guest's room, threatening that "if this continues we will have to assess damage fees".||That threat was the last straw. ||After decades of domestic and international travel, it's safe to say guest services issues arise. It's the manner in which an establishment attends to them makes or breaks a stay, let alone a reputation. In my opinion, 27 on Park could benefit from hospitality/customer service training on when and how to address guest service, and policy and procedure adherence. ||Perhaps, my individual experience is but a rarity for them, although...

We stayed for two nights at Twenty Seven on Park during the Bear on the Square Music Festival.

This spot feels more like an updated inn than your run-of-the-mill hotel. It certainly has some charm, and some age. We appreciated the clean, spacious room (The Manhattan), hard wood floors, walk in shower and comfy bed. Our interactions with staff were limited but pleasant.

The location really can’t be beat for Dahlonega. It’s literally a 30 second walk from your door to the square. That alone is enough to justify the cost compared to budget hotels outside the square.

I also appreciated the refrigerator in the room for leftovers and drinks. Would have liked access to a microwave.

Areas for improvement: I will say that my wife and I are both picky sleepers. So take this for what it’s worth. The rooms are equipped with ductless air units like many hotels. These are not always the most efficient but I get why they are used. Even with mild temps it was challenging to keep the room not feeling humid unless the air was constantly running. This wouldn’t be a problem normally, but the unit in our particular room was pretty noisy. So we had to choose between running the air with the noise or leaving it off and being a little warm. Getting the room cool before bed helped, but wasn’t a perfect solution. So we only slept OK. Also, lots of light comes in through the windows even with blinds shut and curtains pulled. If you like dark to sleep you are going to have issues. I would recommend the property be updated with true blackout curtains. The shear curtains do nothing. Towels are pretty thin and scratchy.

Parking: There is no designated parking for this hotel. The lot across Choice Ave. is free and only a brief walk, but with a busy festival weekend parking got competitive and limited. I can’t imagine this is an issue year-round but be aware...

We stayed at the Park Place Hotel in Dahlonega, Georgia for our wedding. We booked out the entire hotel (14 rooms) for our bridal party and used them for five days and five nights total. We were BLOWN AWAY by the attention to detail and organization of Cresten, Lynette, and Kasey. They are incredible people and made our wedding day and rehearsal dinner so much easier to enjoy! Lynette and Kasey worked with us tirelessly to get details done, such as handing out gift bags to each guest and making sure early, late, and on-time check-ins got processed. I know that this is for another review, but they also helped so much with the tux fittings and made sure everything was fast, simple, and easy for us. More to that, they both were always happy and smiling, very hospitable, and incredibly kind. I felt like they were there always to help out and made sure everything went without a hitch. Our rehearsal dinner was at the Park Place Hotel outside, and they made sure the firewood was stocked and ready on that chilly night. Cresten was also amazing. He does a lot of the "behind the scenes" work I think, making him kind of an unsung hero often, but I know that he busts his butt to get everything done and we are so thankful and happy that we worked with him for our wedding because he bent over backwards to make sure we felt comfortable! The rooms were also awesome. My husband and I stayed in the honeymoon suite and enjoyed the plentiful closet space, fireplace, and huge hot tub. Our other guests were really happy with their rooms also. Well...

Unfortunately, the place is a dump. Bed sheets were covered in hairs, and although house cleaning came and changed bedding, new sheets had hairs also. Couch, which doubled as pull out for our 12yr old son, looked as if it had been found on the side of the road. Lop-sided, and he had to sleep angled across to keep from falling into back (couch was also filthy) No window treatments and holes where rod once was.. filthy AC return vent.. deadbolt didn’t even have an actual metal catch.. just carved out of door wood.. super noisy. We’ve stayed in many older hotels before and can understand age, but not this..if you are willing to pay this kind of money to be steps from the square, this is your place, but Holiday Inn Express is just as convenient and very clean (we checked it out to plan for next trip because we will never stay here again)

We stayed here last night for our 23rd wedding anniversary. We had a lovely time. The place is very convenient to the downtown area --- literally across the street. Very private. Very clean. Very modern. It was rainy so we didn't get to utilize the sitting area, which was a bummer. There was a gap around the door, so outside sounds did come through. There were some loud guests talking right outside our room after midnight, which wasn't a problem until it got to be 30+ minutes and still going. But a text to the hotel solved that very quickly. We will definitely be back.

The pictures on the site are exactly how it looks. I was relaxed and very pleased with my stay. There are plenty of activities and places to eat. The office will return your call. There is a parking lot on the side of 27 on Park. It's free after 5pm starting on Friday and free on Saturday and Sunday. I spoke with the ticket patrol guy name River Canal. Per River Canal two blocks over is a parking lot. One more thing there are hills and ditches. Overall I had a fabulous time and will return ☺️ 🥰 Thank you.
