Kung Fu Tea — Restaurant in Dale City

Terrible experience at this location. I arrived at 8:40 pm. Closing time is 10:00 pm according to their Google business page. They were out of half the menu items. I couldn’t order coconut, strawberry, or coffee teas just to name a few. When I finally found something they could make, I was told they were out of boba. The cashier’s response? “You should’ve come earlier because it’s 10 minutes to closing time”. They refused to make any more boba because they had decided to close at 9 pm instead of 10 pm per their posted hours of operation. That is no excuse. It’s poor customer service. After I received my order, I sat down to enjoy my tea, which was clearly a nuisance to the staff. Naturally, they proceeded to see me out at 9 pm. They didn’t close the door or informed other customers that they were closed (a common courtesy practiced by most other business). But, far be it from Kung Fu Tea employees at this location to be courteous. They simply told me to leave because they were closed and to come back during business hours… assuming they actually open at the posted times. Save yourselves the trouble and drive to a better location....

Service-wise, probably one of the worst Kung Fu Tea places to go. I was there on March 23 around 6 PM, and the young ladies behind the counter were quite rude. We ordered a piña colada drink, and when it didn't taste right and I told them it was chalky, they laughed amongst themselves and responded, "Well, we followed the recipe card." When I noticed my friend still wasn't drinking it, I went back to the counter and asked if it was possible for it to be made with less powder. When we got the new drink back, it was the same problem, if not worse, and we were told they could not refund it. No other option was offered, not even a different drink. I have been to plenty of other Kung Fu Tea shops, and if there has ever been an issue with my drink order, pearls, or anything, they are more than willing to fix it or offer a new drink. Update: Quality has sadly gone completely down hill. Went and got two drinks. One slush had actual ice cubes in it still it was blended so poorly. The other drink had pieces of random food that was not part of her drink so a dirty spoon/blender must have transferred something from the drink prior. Still can't order strawberry milk slushes on their app to this day. What an absolute disappointment.

Old review: Went on their soft opening day and it was pretty busy. My slush wasn't nearly blended enough and had huge chunks of ice in it, but I'm hoping that was just due to the employees being newbies and that'll get better. Also can't order strawberry slushes on the app which is odd. A guy who I think was the owner was greeting people and seemed super nice. I hope this place is successful. I'll definitely visit again and hope the slush is properly...
