Warning, this place is more addictive than crack! I have been coming here literally every other day the past month. They literally create magic with their flavors of the day. I am not usually a huge fan of ice cream either. I'm not sure if the gentleman with the long hair is the owner, but he is super friendly and accommodating. I used to love Rita's Swedish Fish Italian ice. They closed years ago, and I came across this place and saw they had it. I was super excited, and it did not disappoint. They somehow manage to make the Italian ice creamy. I had major back surgery, so if I can't get a ride or my mom to pick up my order, I rely on Ubereats. They pack everything super carefully, and the ice cream is never melted at all. They take a lot of precautions with COVID-19 as well. Their caramel is the best caramel I have ever had. Today the special was Creamsicle and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Both were amazing, but the Pineapple was probably the best ice cream I have ever had in life! I ordered Cold Stone for my daughter, the other day and it was beyond disgusting. In less than 10 minutes in AC, our ice creams had melted into a soupy mess, and the taste was HORRIBLE! This place is so much better in every way, and their prices are extremely reasonable. They offer pup cups for dogs, and the gentleman was kind enough to give us one today free. My Beagle went crazy, and enjoyed it so much that when he was done he tried to jump in my lap and steal the cup I was eating out of my hands. He definitely agrees with my review. I am grateful for this establishment because I am in a ton of pain with an entire back full of metal, and am unable to do anything at all. I do not have a lot to look forward to on a daily basis, and this place definitely brightens my days with their specials and consistently...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe custard is still far better than Rita's was, and about on par now with Milwaukee, but it's not amazing anymore.
This is our first visit since the change from BR. A little less warmth inside than before and portions are definitely a lot smaller. Brought some friends to show off the legendary crazy huge good buttery vanilla custard cones in Lake Ridge but we were disappointed by the tiny portions and flavorless waffle cones. I had a four scoop and it was less custard than what BR called the kiddie cone. The chocolate dipped sprinkle cones did not taste good at all. Someone described it as "waxy masonite."
One of the scoops fell off the cone onto the table because they had not packed any custard into the cone. So everyone checked and all our cones were hollow. You have to put custard inside the cone. Not just for added value, it's the glue that holds the ice cream on top. I saw another review about a scoop detatching and falling onto the floor. That...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI normally love this place, so giving it one star actually hurts me, but I have to say something. Last night I ordered a chocolate shake and a chocolate chip custard sandwich. The shake was soupy like Campbellās soup (not custard) and the custard sandwich had these super gooey substances inside that were chewy like raisins but looked like little BUGS! A few months back when I got that same chocolate chip custard sandwich there was hair all throughout each bite I took. In both cases I panicked and threw the stuff away. I shouldāve taken a pic but I swear Iām a big fan of Campbellās. It just seems like someone is taking shortcuts and itās costing a good business, a very good local well known business,...
