Had a wonderful evening, just thought I’d grab a Cava bowl before heading back to Frisco, where I usually get my food. . But since I was passing this particular one ( 8018 park lane suite 100, Dallas Texas 75231, at around 1700 and had the misfortune of being waited on by someone who clearly did not want to. I’m not accustomed to having an unprovoked irritable person prepare food that I’m going to consume. I order my food….No avocados?oh Ok, I can choose another bowl, ( but can I have 2 seconds to do so?) I was not aware that the store was out of avocados, it’s not a real problem , I’m ok with that , but what would warrant her attitude? .. seemed triggered after the lack of avocados was announced to me.( where is the sign , it’s not complicated) Just put up a sign!, there wasn’t one which is why she sighed and then explained it verbally when I asked for a particular bowl that includes it.. I never said I wanted avocados , just ordered a meal that normally include avocados, so please dont slam my bowl on the counter, plop food in the bowl and then after I pay, she hands me my to -go bowl , just “ here you go!’ No bag .. nothing! I have worked hard to not allow the negative mean spirited behavior of someone else to transfer to me so I remained polite( btw another customer had to ASK for a bag also, is this protocol? ) but as someone who deal with a lot professionals on a weekly basis in my line of work, I can tell you we all know where NOT to eat due primarily to poor customer service. CAVA is not on that list , however, having unreproved behavior like this can ruin a business. Staff don’t often understand how their bad attitudes can destroy the reputation of a Company that someone worked very hard to build. Reputation is often irredeemable once lost..that’s just how business works It’s rare that I leave a review and 99% of any thing I write is positive. But this was not a good experience and since I like my cava , but want it prepared withOUT a side of attitude, I needed to post this.
I’m not gonna leave her name, in hopes that she will have a chance to correct, but I did want to leave a review , so that someone MIGHT help her get there.
….I will from now on , check and trust reviews on any company I frequent because I usually find there isn’t much change in behavior and if that’s the choice, it’s ok, I’ll just have make some choices too, and spend my money elsewhere.
For the record the meat ( she scraped the last bits of chicken out from the container and put them in my bowl. I was ok with that because it’s happened before at other locations and the meat was fine… but today it was dry, and the food was cold:. I’ve BEVER gotten a cava bowl like this...

On a nice Sunday evening, I decided to purchase from this location on-site. As someone who has worked in restaurants in my younger days, I wanted to ensure I was very kind to the staff— as always.
While purchasing my meal, I noticed the cashier was subtly rude. She seemed very annoyed and didn't hand me my food, but slightly pushed it at me to get me out of the way. I was so confused, as there was no prior conflict. In addition, I didn't ask for much, as I keep my food selections very simple. I checked all the boxes in my head to determine what went wrong. I just couldn't ignore it.
When I stayed briefly to get some napkins, I noticed a completely different encounter for the person who looked to be her same race, right behind me. She was extremely kind to him and properly handed him his bag. Her vibe was so different not to notice - great service.
Now, I’m a person who tries not to make heavy assumptions, so I won't for her. But you can guess what the experience felt like. I was shocked, very confused, and disheartened that this had to be the one for me today.
CAVA, love the food. But this…this was disappointing. Yes, as you can see, your customers not only purchase, they observe. And while this was my experience, I hope it’s taken serious enough to change for others...
Read moreThis may ultimately be small potatoes for many, but the TL;DR is that 5-6 employees in an extremely unbusy Cava couldn’t be bothered to get my order completed on time or correctly.
Ordered through the app for a 7:15 pick up. Got there at 7:15, order wasn’t ready, but no big deal—I can wait a couple minutes. It isn’t busy, I’m sure it’ll be out soon. 15 minutes later, it still isn’t busy, but my order is out on the shelf and ready to go.
Checked to make sure both bowls were there, noticed there weren’t any utensils in the bag like I had asked for. Fine, I’m just going home and I obviously can just use my own. Get home, and my order is wrong. I asked for lamb and they gave me meatballs. No crazy feta or tatziki.
I can understand if you’re out of some ingredients, or the lamb isn’t quite ready to be served, but they were not anywhere close to slammed and they just decided to replace an entire protein for me if they were, in fact, out of the lamb. If you don’t have the dressings, maybe check to see if I’m in the building and you can talk to me about possible replacements. When there are 5-6 people behind the counter and you can’t be bothered to follow directions, I now have a problem.
If I was a more unstable individual I would have driven back there and made them remake it for me for no cost. But instead I added my own crumbled feta cheese and ate what...
