Chubby's Restaurant — Restaurant in Dallas

I can say that both my husband and I couldn't eat our food. (steak fingers and the grilled chicken) Our waitress actually brought me chicken fried steak by accident and it LOOKED GOOD, but I dont eat that, (wish I would have tho) so I was brought the grilled chicken, it looked unappealing but to be fair, i gave it a try.... it was awful and had a strange taste. I didn't eat another bite. I would not recommend this. I did try my husbands steak fingers and I would not recommend those either...

Honestly, I only liked my side salad and his French fries. Nothing else.

But in a more positive note, ALL of the staff we came across were super friendly. I enjoyed them.

I was asked at the register how our food was... I told him it was "not good at all" he said I should have told them at the 1st bite... well how should I know that? In our circumstance, we are traveling through. I thought for sure he would knock of the price for the chicken but he didn't do that because I should have known their policy? haha! That's humorous to me. But for whatever reason, he did offer us a pie... I dont eat pie so I guess I'm out the money for a terrible meal. It wasnt expensive or anything but I think yall could change that unknown policy... cause I mean I had to wait for the chicken in the 1st place cause I was brought the wrong food. Why should travelers wait for a 3rd meal? Not practical.

I did tell my waitress that it was gross too... nothing was offered or explained to me at that point. An apology was given tho.

I think you have to KNOW what's good here...

The food is a 4 star but I took off 2 stars because of customer service. I've been in fast food industry for years and was always taught CUSTOMERS come 1st. I already had a little wait so I told my server I was ready to order. Her response was,

"LET ME GET THE DISHES OFF THIS TABLE, IF MY MANGER SEE, SHE WILL GET MAD AT ME, I'll get your order when I bring your drinks "

It made me want to leave and not even eat there but my kids were hungry so we stayed.

The other 2 stars were taken off because I had 2 kids and ordered 2 kids meals but she tried to charge me for 1 kids meal and a cheese burger and small fry and argued with me about the charge stating they don't allow adults to eat off the kids menu. I told her I wasn't really hungry so if I decide to snack off my 2 year old plate then I should be able to. It would be a different story if I had 1 child and tried to get 2 kids meals but I had 2 kids so there was no way she should be arguing with me about that!!!! I definitely will not be back nor will I recommend this place. What a negative experience for my 1st time...

When we first walked in there wasn't anyone to seat us but their were employees sitting down looking at us and didn't bother to come seat us, it took about 5 minutes to get seated even though it was not busy. Next I looked at the dessert display case and it had different pies and then they had a store bought chocolate cake still in its original box which in my opinion if your going to buy a cake from the store and charge people $5.00 a slice then you should take it out the box and put it on a nice plate and make it look like you made it yourself. Then we were seated and we ordered I got the Buffalo wings and when they came out they were drenched in sauce and they were okay if it wasn't just drenched in sauce. Then my sister ordered the double burger and it wasn't fully cooked it was very gamy. Their was enough employees to be walking around asking if the customers were doing good, but they were to lazy and half of them were sitting down on there phone.
