I love Dunkinâ Donuts. The Matcha latte is probably the best one out there the large is huge and delicious. Their kolaches are also massive and better than most donut shops out there.
Funny story about Dunkinâ Donuts. My great grandfather immigrated from Italy to Boston, Massachusetts, and was one of the first big bakeries in the city to support all of the building and growth that the country was experiencing from all of the immigration coming into the country from all over Europe. His donut shop was on one of the busiest corners in all of Boston, and it was named DiFonzo donuts later patriot donuts.
He was approached by a group of investors and was proposed to become a national donut chain because his recipes and coffee and espresso were the best they had ever had. Every morning, my grandfather and great grandfather would wake up at 3 AM to begin the baking process to open the doors at 5 AM to supply coffee and donuts and pastries to the men working on the construction sites and the line would be wrapped around the corner.
The investor group asked my great grandfather if he would be interested in franchising his concept. He asked them if he would be the big boss, which was very important to him because he had spent his life creating his business. The investor groups told him that he would not be the boss, but that he would have a seat on the board to help guide the future of DiFonzo donuts. He turned the offer down because he wanted to be the boss and have the right in the power to make all of this decisions that would affect his business.
My grandfather tells us story with tears in his eyes because of the next piece of this story. About six months later, donut shop opened just down the street on another block from our donut shop. And then another and then another and then another that donut shop was named Duncan donuts formed by the investor group that my great grandfather turned down.
To this day, the entrepreneurial spirit runs deep in my family, but we will always remember that we have been the greatest donut company in the...
Read moreWORST SERVICE AT ANY COFFEE CHAIN IâVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I arrived to this Dunkin at 12:30PM, and when I walked inside, there was about 10 people inside already waiting for their order. No one was in line at the register, so I got in line and waited for someone to attend me. A line started brewing behind me, and after 8 minutes, no one still took our order. They all just continue doing their work while ignoring you. It finally took me to say something for one of workers to come take our order, to which she replied, âyeah, um, okay.â I ordered two medium lattes and a chocolate donut. After I ordered, she grabbed a donut from the case and placed it on the counter without saying a name for the order. I walked up to the bag but realized it wasnât mine cause it was a regular glaze. She looks at me and goes, âthatâs your donut.â I said, âno itâs not. I ordered a chocolate glaze.â She grabs the donut and then proceeds to throw the donut AT THE WALL and bag me a new one. 30 minutes go by and I still donât have my coffee. I politely ask one of the workers about my order, and she says they lost it and to see my receipt. I show her my receipt, and five minutes later, she comes back with two small coffees. So much chaos was going on I didnât even want to bother that they were the wrong size. The coffee wasnât even filled up all the way! I paid $15 for these! Absolute horrifying service, these employees are working like theyâve never seen a coffee rush before. You can easily tell they pin their stress and frustration out on their customers like itâs their fault. Either get more staff or train your employees to have better...
Read moreThe worst people work here. Stopped in after a walk at White Rock for a drink and hot food. Ordered a refresher, hash browns and snacking bacon. The lady at the register misheard and charged me for a croissant sandwich with bacon. When I got my order I checked my order because they have screwed up in the past and they are notorious for that. I explained the situation and they looked confused. Then one of the workers said she would make the bacon but never offered a refund for the sandwich that I didn't even order. But I didn't want to wait for the bacon and let the hash browns get cold ( This has happened to me before at this location). I was so frustrated because this isn't the first time they have messed up my order. So I gave everything back and asked for a full refund. The girl said she can't refund my drink because I already drank it. I had drank a quarter of the drink so I said then to refund 75 percent of it. She just kept repeating that I drank it. I don't think she knew how to calculate 75% of the total drink price. Anyway I asked for the manager and to my dismay the manager was the same lady that took my order. But she did refund me the full amount. I went to a Dunkin closer to where I live in Irving and they were much friendlier and they got my order right. I will never come back to...
