Update: At 2:18pm, I called again to just double-check and confirm that my order was still out for delivery, and was told yes, but the driver had 13 orders on her (she left the store at 1:15pm). It's been three hours after my initial order was placed.
I placed an order today for delivery at 11:28am, which was "received" and confirmed by the store at 11:29am. At noon, I called to check in on the order because there had been no status update or "out for delivery" notification, which was not typical for the past couple of orders I'd had with this store. I was put on hold, then transferred to someone else who told me that they were making my order right away.
At 12:30pm, I called back again, because there still had been no change in delivery status, and after confirming my name, order, and address again, I was told that the order was already out for delivery with the driver and that they apologized for the delay, but were slammed with lunch orders. Understandable, so I thanked them for the update and waited.
At 1:15pm, after still no delivery (I live 5 minutes away), I called back, yet again, only to be told that "she [the driver] is heading out the door now". I was offered no alternatives or attempts to rectify the situation, only an "I'm sorry", after being told conflicting updates.
As of right now-nearly 2pm, over two and a half hours after I placed my order, two hours after they "made" my order, and 1.5 hours after "it's already out for delivery", I still have not received my order. Super frustrating to feel like I've been lied to about my order status repeatedly when I could have cancelled/pursued other options if just...
Read moreVery Poor Customer service. Went in today for a sandwich and there was one lady behind the counter and what seemed to be an 11 year old working.
I received no greeting at all.... In Fact the lady working finished the order she was workin on, had the little boy take it to the customer before me and she walked to the counter where I was standing and proceeded to restock bread.
She did not look at me, acknowledge me, and kept reracking the bread as she told the young boy to go in the back and turn UP the radio.
I literally stood there being ignored and as if I was not there at the counter ready to place an order.
She then walked over to the sandwich making area and waited for the young boy to come take my order.
I am absolutely APPALLED.
Bless his heart, but he does not have the customer service skills to be doing the job and he had to ask her step by step how to enter the order into the system.
If she was trying to train him, he is learning the wrong way.
I honestly could not order the sandwich the way I wanted because I knew he wouldn't understand what to enter.
I don't know if Jimmy John's knows that they have an employee who is bringing an underage worker to the shop, but this is a labor lawsuit ready to happen.
That little boy should not be working there. He also should not be having the work of one of your employees being pushed off on him.
That lady should also learn customer service skills before trying to train anyone because she blatantly ignored me and even turned UP the music while doing so.
Check your cameras JJ.
I won't be back to...
Read moreCurrently waiting over an hour for order that was “out for delivery” 35+ min ago. We are 1.7 miles from the location. Called store 5x. Currently letting it ring at the moment and have let it go for 4 min without anyone picking up.
Update:
Female that answered the phone was extremely rude when i called to follow up about an order that was placed, confirmed and out for delivery but never delivered. She refused to give her name and refused to provide me with a managers number. Claimed i never made an order and then told me she voided it right when i ordered it because I “didn’t answer” their phone call (they never called, lets be real…even immediate hang ups show up on call logs these days) but but could not confirm the name on the order, the address, or the order number. She also claimed I never placed an order with this store and when I asked her to confirm the store number she said and quote “maam i dont know that kind of information.” I also tried to relay the confirmation number and she cut me off and said it should only be 2 numbers. She clearly has no idea what is going on-which is likely a training problem, not her own. I also called 5x and had to let it ring for 6+ minutes on the 5th time before this store would pick up. This is the most garbage experience I have ever had with jimmy johns. Im not asking for 5 star service and even an hour long wait is ultimately fine but whoever is franchising this one needs corporate...
