I usually really like OG, but I had the WORST service at this location. I arrived with my 3 children (2 older kids, 1 toddler, all well mannered) about 10:05 pm giving us just under an hour before closing. We were seated immediately and given menus, but the waiter took about 10 minutes to come take our order, and he had a very obnoxious, snoody attitude the entire time. I wish I'd gotten his name so I could put it in my review.
They had the Buy 1 Take 1 special, so 3 out of 4 of us ordered from that menu. I did all the ordering for my kids, and as I was ordering I was pointing directly at what we wanted on the buy 1 take 1 menu, while at the same time telling the waiter what meals we wanted. So I made both visual, and verbal requests.
We had to ask for salad and breadsticks (never had to ask before, they always bring bread right away, and they always ask if we want salad). The waiter did not listen to anything I said when ordering. I requested the dressing to be on the side, and I asked for ranch, instead their house Italian. He brought the salad with their house dressing, ON the salad. More time wasted, with the short time we had... I didn't want to make anyone have to stay late, so we were trying to be quick about it.
It took quite a while for our food to come out, which is weird because there was only a few other tables. When our food finally did come, one of my children's orders was not correct, as the waiter brought it upon himself to put in the "kid size" spaghetti even though I pointed directly at the buy 1 get 1 menu and told him I wanted the spaghetti and the same for our take 1 meal. Don't know how you can mess that up, but he did. More time wasted, and we now have to wait for them to prepare an regular size meal for my daughter to eat, and another to take home.
Our waiter NEVER checked our drinks, and I actually had to ask a waiter from another section to refill our drinks.
We wanted to order dessert, every time we go to OG, we order the Zeppolis, and we were really looking forward to it after our meals. I called the "disappearing" waiter over to order dessert and he informed me the kitchen was now closed and we couldn't order anything else. I was quite upset. He never came by our table to ask if there was anything else we'd like, or if we wanted dessert. I know that's what should have happened. Smh!
I was definitely upset at this point. I'd been fed up with the terrible service I received from him that night, and now... no dessert? I rarely complain about things, but this guy should not be a waiter. WORST customer service! I asked for a manager and complained about everything that was wrong. After the manager left, I searched everywhere for the waiter who still hadn't brought me the check so we could leave, when he finally reappeared i asked for the check and he informed me (full nasty attitude in effect) that the manager was giving us the whole meal for free, that's but cool. I was more than willing to pay the $100 or so for our food, but i was definitely NOT leaving a tip... and I work for tips so I ALWAYS tip, either way, free food doesn't make the experience any better. I'll never return to...
Read moreMy family and I recently visited the Olive Garden with high hopes for a memorable birthday celebration for my daughter. Unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable.
Upon arrival, we were seated near a drafty air vent, it was too cold for us, so we decide to request another table since there were numerous empty tables being available elsewhere in the restaurant. When our waitress arrived, she did not greet us, I thought she just had a bad day, so We just politely requested her a different table, but our waitress responded with a dismissive attitude, rolling her eyes, and turning away without even acknowledging our request, and left me talking.
Throughout our brief time at the restaurant, we observed the waitress's interactions with other guests, which were markedly different from her behavior towards us. Her hostility was evident, and it made us feel unwelcome and discriminated against.
The situation escalated further when the waitress spoke to the manager, turning her back to us and glaring at us over her shoulder, we noticed that every time she looked at us, her face showed a very hostile and disapproving attitude. At that point, we decided enough was enough and left the restaurant before even placing an order.
Our intended celebration turned into a disappointing experience due to the rudeness and inhospitality we encountered. It's unfortunate that the manager seems either unaware of the negative impact such behavior has on the restaurant's welcoming environment or unwilling to address it.
While this experience was disappointing, we hope that it is isolated to this location. We have had positive experiences at other Olive Garden restaurants and would be happy to return in the future.
Overall Rating: 1 star (due to the negative experience at this...
Read moreWe visited this Olive Garden while in town for my daughters birthday. We had a long day in the city and decided on this restaurant because it was close by our hotel. Our server was great. He stayed on top of our large party of 8 with ease. I believe his name was Dashaun? And anither very sweet server in the section next to him, named April, was helping here and there as she walked by! The food did take a little bit of time to come out but we had little to no complaints. The only down part about our visit was with the bartender. An older woman named Stacy? She had such a nasty attitude. She got my drink order wrong. I asked for a margarita with a SALTED rim, and in turn I got a sugared rim. Which was fine. I didn’t want to send my drink back so I simply asked for a glass with a salted rim so I could just transfer the drink. She told the server no and that she had to take the glass back. Which again, is fine. I then walked up to the bar with my drink and asked her if I could do it myself right there in front of her. Reason being, I already started drinking it and she wasn’t making me a brand new one! I didn’t want her touching the drink, straw, etc while I was already drinking it. She was so rude so I let her do it, and she drops all my garnishes (strawberry and lime) off the glass onto the counter and floor. Didn’t apologize, didn’t get me a new one, nothing. So I walked by to my table and requested the manager. After pulling him to the side and explained everything, he offered us a $30 gift card for the troubles. He made it right with us and we left on a happy note. The staff packed us up some fresh soup and salad for our to-go stuff, which was pleasant. I probably won’t return but we had an...
