Noble Bar and Lounge — Restaurant in Dallas

I can’t speak on the food since we came for drinks, the drinks were great. The only good from the night here. Our drinks were served in red solo cups, maybe they’re going for the college party vibe. Okay, no big deal. We also ordered hookah, I’m not a huge hookah smoker but my fiancé said it was alright, except it was over $40. Pretty pricey for something mid at best. Our server was sweet when she would help us. The atmosphere was just not giving what we were expecting. The pictures you see on google, is not what you get. At least not when we were there. It was empty besides one other table of men & some guy behind what was supposed to be the dj booth. He kept changing the songs and then proceeded to yell out that everyone needed to start tipping the bartenders. He shouts out that someone needed to start taking shots & directly telling the group of guys that they were lame since they weren’t taking any shots. One of the men had to tell him he doesn’t drink because of his religion, just to get him to leave them alone. The servers were obviously uncomfortable but didn’t do much to intervene. Only one of them told him to stop. Which he did, but then just began pacing around the whole bar. It seemed like he may have been a friend to the staff, so maybe that’s why they didn’t just kick him out. But it made for an uncomfortable experience. People were coming in & out saying hi to the bartenders & the bartenders would follow them outside to have conversations. The servers were repeatedly coming in & out of the bar, having conversations outside, at one point there was a pitbull trying to get inside. It felt like we were at a house party & not in a good way. We finally decided to leave & grab our check. They automatically charged an 18% percent tip, so that was just the cherry on top to a less than terrible night here. Made us question the morality of the establishment, because why would their friend tell everyone to start tipping if they already charge you for a tip? Thought this would be a cool spot and definitely had good potential. When I arrived security checked my boyfriend but not me. After my boyfriend and I sat at the bar we got ignored for 7 minutes.Then finally, despite there being only 5 people in the bar who by the way all had drinks, were finally approached. Bartender walked off to go hit the hookah with customers as i was trying to get her attention.i tried to order a drink but she was too lazy and told me that she only wanted to pour shots at the moment . Ended up getting 3 shots of don julio and when I watched her pour the shots for us she over poured them by 3x the amount. As a former bartender, I was pretty shocked considering that if this is a regular occurrence, she is losing the owner a-lot of money by doing so. We took the shots she immediately gave us a bill without asking if we wanted anything else. we ended up paying almost $50 for 3 shots and when my boyfriend gave her the exact amount of bill, she gave me a disgusted look and told us that the bar doesn’t take exact change! First off the pictures of this place are deceiving. We arrived at this place at 9:30pm, we were the only ones there. We sat down at the bar to have a drink. My husband and I were talking and he noticed a small bug crawling next to me and he killed it. I was drinking my drink and it felt like I swallowed something through my straw. We left after 2 drinks. We went home and I was feeling very bloated. I fell asleep in woke up in the middle of the night with very bad stomach cramps and diarrhea. I was very sick.
