Honest Review because they deserve it:
I work for a popular food establishment in the DFW and actually participate in Food Demo Tastings for Chefs we hire. I absolutely enjoyed this place and definitely will be back.
Customer Service: The customer service was absolutely exceptional. Every staff member acknowledged us every time they walked by (A+).
Food was To Go: The food was all amazing with the exception to I wish the turkey had more of a smoked taste...there was a hint, but overall it was cooked to perfection and very moist. The sausage was absolutely great! Every side we tasted was very favorable and that really makes me want to come back because I loved the side. A lot BBQ places miss the mark there.
Price: There prices were very reasonable for BBQ.
Atmosphere: **Here is where I would deduct a half point but, it doesn't affect my recommendation, just a suggestion. The establishment was very clean even the bathrooms smelled fresh so I love that. Clean bathroom speaks alot to me about how it may look in the BOH Kitchen. I never eat somewhere with a nasty bathroom. My half point would go for Restaurant Branding/Decor. They deer š¦ horns on the wall which i can associate with BBQ/Hunting but the Puppets on the wall reminded me of Jasper from the TV Show FROM..LOL or the little Puppets that came out of the picture on Tales From The Hood. Felt Voodoo ish...š¬š That's just how my brain associated it. I didn't feel where the company name and them matched with the decor. Maybe they should have went with car decor since Rollin is in the name..Like some nice rims or wheels or car 3d art. I feel the branding needs revamping to be more recognized and associated with the name to make it look like it's a franchise. Keep it clean like they have it but people should ask are there any more locations because what they have going could very well grow to multiple locations if it has not been done yet.
Overall: Go there and support because you won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreetings. Myself and two other sisters found this hidden gem on our program for the First SouthWest Regional Conference with First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ-Apostle Jennings. We had no idea this was it. We didnāt know what we were going to try so we tried multiple items, to include the mac n cheese, fried cabbage, baked beans, yams, the Twinkie which is a jalapeno stuffed with brisket and cream cheese, brisket and sausage. A side of kool-aid (thatās right), banana pudding -yummy yummy for my tummy, and a slice of cream cheese pound cake. Donāt judge me, because I know thatās a lot of food, but we took some to last us for later. They brought in fresh vegetables to cook, not that bagged stuff. The restaurant was soo clean until we even noticed a worker cleaning off the trash can area, now you know you donāt see that. They had the right ambiance and the decor fit perfectly. I have never sat in any restaurant and enjoyed everything. Itās normally something, but not here. The owners were friendly and our Sister even shared her beautiful testimony about the seed her granny planted. All I know is that Iām a Southern Country girl from Mobile, Alabama and know good soul food when I taste it. Smokin and Rolling makes Dallas look real good, so if yāall donāt know- this is the place I suggest yāall try. If you donāt thatās on you. I just could not post a comment for this gem. I know this place is going to be established for a many many years to come and every time I visit Dallas, this will definitely be a must have. Thank you again Smokin and Rolling BBQ and Soul Food- Yāall did that. Peace...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOMG!! I found this nice Gem tucked right on the corner of Riverfront & Corinth called Smokin & Rollin BBQ. I ordered The T-bone steak ,cabbage & green beans. Yall see that T-bone, it had to have its own plate!.. And the whole meal was $35 y'all!.. Now a lot of times I have to redress these steaks cause they not seasoned but whoever cooked this T-bone dressed it up and had it ready because it was already seasoned and cooked nicely, not over or under, and I ended up putting the fork and knife down because at that point I knew they were in my way. I clearly wasnāt playing wit itšāāļø. O, you gotta ask for that lamb sauce because itās a nice compliment to the steak, itāll have you licking ya fingers. Now on to the sides. Yall know I love me some Veggies. The Cabbage and Greenbeans were delicious. I couldnāt finish that whole T-bone but I knocked both those veggies down, I definitely want some more Cabbage, they were seasoned so good and had that crunch that I like. Iām not gon forget that muffin. Now I donāt usually eat any type of bread but I took a bite outta the jalapeƱo cornbread muffin and dipped it in that cabbage juice and ended up eating it all. Yall definitely gotta head down there. The vibe felt like I was at a family cookout. Everybody was so nice and I appreciated the service. Well yall, I gotta get outta here but head down there and get yall Big Back On, Good Food...
