If I could leave ZERO stars I would. Absolutely worst customer service we have ever experienced. Frequent patron to this establishment and their one uptown. After this experience I will NEVER dine at either again and hope those who read this review take it as a WARNING. The manager we spoke with said her name was JESSE. According to the MANAGER JESSE they are NO LONGER taking UBER EATS orders. Ordered our food through Ubereats OVER an hour ago. Our driver goes to the restaurant to pick up our food to be told by JESSE that they did not make our order because they were out of barbacoa. A FEW of the items were this not the majority of the order. Why would you not contact the patron to your establishment to let them know this? According to Jesse we should have just called ubereats to cancel it?! So not only have you wasted my time (now majority of places are closed) but you also wasted the time, gas, and money of the poor Uber driver who drove to fulfill this order. And when we call to speak and try to understand JESSEs logic for not contacting us we are met with her being argumentative and justifying this HORRIBLE service experience.. No apology, no attempt to make it right. Basically just a shrug and better luck next time mentality. I am a supervisor for a fortune 500 and interview people for a living. La Ventana management you really should take a look at JESSES work ethic and the way she is treating your patrons definitely not someone I would want representing my company or brand. Take my advise do not dine here.

Text from the Uber driver further verification of the flat out lying unprofessionalism from your "manager" Jesse.:

They're saying "they didn't receive the order" because they're out of an ingredient and to request another order without it. But then she lied telling me they don't use UberEats anymore and UberEats won't take them...

Edited: I Provided my feedback and got an email from them apologizing for my experience and offering a free meal if I decide to go back. Although it's not about a free meal, their apology and response to my complaint made me feel valued as a customer. I will add yet another star once I go back to eat and have a different experience.

What happened La Ventana??? I went for the first time to this location during the Halloween block party at around 1:30 am and the tacos were sooooo delicious . To me, a really good taco will have meat with good flavor and no fat , and a really good soft warm tortilla. The tacos were perfect. I just went back today again (11/2/2018) and I don't know if y'all fired the tortilla guy but when I got my tacos, the meat still had a very good flavor but the tortillas for the tacos were cold and hard . I told the guy who stands there calling out the names and he told the cooks but when I got my 2nd set of tacos, the tortillas were colder and harder than the 1st ones. WTF. I thought I had found my favorite taco place but NOPE. I just went ahead and ate my cold tacos because I was starving but never again will I crave those hard cold...

The atmosphere was AMAZING!! The line was long but went by FAST! And the food took a little under 8 min to be done despite how BUSY they were!! This place was POPPIN (the music was amazing, the energy was vibrant and the staff was friendly!!!) Not to mention the food was AMAZING!! The lengua was juicy, and the barbacoa was perfect!! I love that they DONT charge extra for cilantro/lime like other places do, and the price point per taco is WORTH it considering the meat they give!! They just don’t double layer the tortilla which was a lil annoying since the meat was super juicy so a few of the tacos fell apart slightly (but that’s one of the best problems to have!!!) I went about 1.5hrs before they closed on a Thursday!! I grew up with family from Jalisco and the tacos were similar to that style!! I also got a burrito which wasn’t bad!! I think they could’ve added more meat compared to the rice (ratio was too much) but it wasn’t bad!! 20/10 would eat here again!! For about 6 tacos + 1 burrito, it was...

This tacqueria has exactly what you would expect - inexpensive tacos and food. I will say that I’m slightly disappointed in them. For $2 per taco, I don’t expect a filled taco, but they were definitely skimping on the filling. There was also no salsa or any onions to add to the tacos for a little bite. You can imagine that a super fatty taco could use a little acidity and crunch from veggies. They also did not have any hot sauces that were actually hot. Other tacqueries I’ve been to with a similar style had better tacos for the same or cheaper prices. Their chicken taco had good flavor, the pork taco also was tasty, and their beef tongue taco was unique but somewhat bland. They had a really nice queso and chips appetizer (the queso has onions and some other crunchy elements in it). What stood out here were their churros con cojeta. Essentially it is churros filled with caramel. Talk about possibly the best dessert I’ve ever had! Overall, this is a good place to experience if you have never been before.

Taqueria La Ventana is a solid go-to if you're looking for fast service, chill vibes, and a perfect spot to kick off your weekend. The staff was friendly and the service was impressively quick—great for when you’re trying to get to the fun part of your night without waiting forever for a taco. The drinks were tasty and just strong enough to keep the buzz going without having you blackout before 5 PM—which, let’s be honest, is an important balance when you’re patio-ing on the gay strip. The outdoor seating is ideal for day drinking, people watching, and catching the pre-party energy before the real festivities begin. Food was good, atmosphere was fun, and it’s definitely a place I’d hit up again for brunch or happy hour. Because let’s be real… what gay is trying to sit down for a heavy meal on a Friday or Saturday night when there’s music, mimosas, and mischief to be had? 😄 Definitely worth a stop!
