I've been wanting to visit the Truck Yard for well, forever! Thankfully, it did not disappoint! This concept is so trendy and innovative. What place have you been to that has an adult only tree house? There are a variety of seating options and the truck yard is super dog friendly as well complete with water bowls to use. We visited on a crisp Saturday morning right as they opened at 11am with a group of close to forty who just completed a 5K. There are so many drink options at the bar, that everyone found a few things to try and enjoy. At the time there were two food trucks - an Italian one and the slider one - both were delicious though I'm not basing this review on the trucks because they rotate in and out. I was happy they use buzzers to notify you when food is ready so you don't have to stand around. Next time I want to try their food from out front because some how I missed that. The only downside for me was the parking. The map online was misleading and your only option next to it is to valet where you fee obligated to tip. It's not terrible, but we drove around looking for other options and struck out. No matter what though...I'm excited to come back and...
Read moreAtmosphere: Unique, eclectic, fun ~ for adults. It is a bar. A beer garden. I would NOT call it kid-friendly, as many reviews and "places to eat with kids" lists do. Yes, there were some kids there; they were running around playing in the dirt while their parents smoked and drank and ignored them. If that's your bag, sure go for it, but it's not what most people have in mind when they are looking for family dining. I felt awkward there with my kids, as it is clearly a fun place for adults to unwind, and I didn't want my kiddos harshing their vibe. If you don't want to take your kids to a place with ashtrays and beers on every table, this is not the place for your family. Food: I was expecting more trucks and more selection; we were there on the Monday evening of spring break and there were two trucks, one with basic Italian selections and one with pizza. Both were tasty and reasonably priced. Overall: Unique experience; decor is fun, trees are pretty, it's not like every boring chain place you could eat or drink. Best for out with friends and best for people who like picnics (paper plates, dirty tables, dogs...
Read moreAs someone who recently visited Truck Yard in Dallas, Texas, I must say that it was an incredible experience. The outdoor venue has a very unique and exciting atmosphere, with a variety of food trucks and bars to choose from. The decor is impressive and gives the place an old-school junkyard vibe, which I found to be really cool.
One of the highlights of my visit was the delicious food from the different food trucks. We tried three different trucks while we were there, and each one was better than the last. The staff at Truck Yard were all great as well, providing excellent service and making sure we had everything we needed.
The live music added to the already great atmosphere and made our visit even more enjoyable. The only downside was the limited seating available during peak hours, but that didn't take away from the overall experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend Truck Yard to anyone looking for a unique and exciting outdoor venue in Dallas, Texas. The vibe was excellent, and it was clear that the place attracts a younger, energetic crowd. I had a blast and can't...
