I’m excited to share with you all the delicious new menu items recently added to @unclejuliosmexican Restaurant! Let’s start with their delectable muddled blackberry margarita. Make sure to try it soon because it will only be available until next week when their holiday margaritas take over. And speaking of the holidays, the cranberry margarita is now on the menu too! For starters, I highly recommend their ceviche—it’s excellent. And, of course, you can never go wrong with their tableside guacamole. Now, let me introduce you to the new dinner menu items: - Shrimp & Fish Ceviche - Tortilla Soup - Roasted Mushroom Quesadilla - El Dorado Tacos - Baja Fried Fish Taco - Roasted Mushroom Taco - House-made Chorizo Taco - Southwestern Cobb Salad - Crab and Shrimp Enchilada - Crab & Shrimp Stuffed Poblano - Cajeta Sundae I had the pleasure of trying the crab & shrimp Stuffed Poblano, and it was absolutely finger-licking good. And, as always, their fajitas are an excellent choice. To top off your meal, indulge in a Mexican Chocolate Piñata for a truly delightful dessert experience. Make sure to visit @unclejuliosmexican soon and savor these new additions to their menu! #unclejulios #hosted #dfweats #dallashotspots #fajitas #bestfajitasindallas

Talk about a mediocre, disrespectful and unapologetic service from management and staff and uncle Julios. I can't believe there so many people being paid to do absolutely nothing. My mother and I drove from Addison to this Uncle Julios because for some reason she think the food and service is better somehow. I called ahead of time to make sure they have tables available and they told me since I was driving at 8pm they did not needed a reservación. Upon arrival the front desk staff took my phone number and name I saw how careless they were that I had to correct the phone number I had given you twice. They told me it was going to take 10 minutes so I decided yo seat at the bar while we got the text message. We order a round of cocktails, and appetizers 35 minutes later no text or anything but I saw how the group of 4 people who arrived after us had already ordered and received their food. That is when I went to the front desk as they are seating someone who literally had just walk in. I waited for one of the 3 hostesses to offer to take us to the table and still nothing. I asked who the manager was and that is when I was pointed at the incompetent person shown into the picture. Who simply said " I am sorry " there were at least 8 tables empty and it could have taken him 1 minutes to point us to a table, but instead he decided to confront one of the hostess in front of us instead of making this right and taking us to our table; Clearly was overwhelmed and doing the best she could as no everyone else was too busy playing in their phones. We sat ourselves and shortly after we got water and chips. We asked the server for "the plato grande" one of their staples and his response was we no longer offer that due to covid.- what does covid has to do with no having an item on their menu. His response was . "To be honest we don't have ribs. ..." so I asked him to get something similar and he was clueless as to what to recommend so I asked him for 5 minutes to take out order. 20 minutes after... I am looking around finding anyone to get my order and I even signal the hostess's who turns around and ignores me once again. I was so upset at this point that at this point I get up of my table and leave after spending 55 minutes waiting to get service. On my way out I run into the same clown that walks around like a chicken with the head cut off pretending to "run" this establishment. Whom I tell that no one came to take out order after 55 minutes and his response was "really?" "I'm sorry". You can find his picture on this review. The lack of direction from leadership shows from the moment you walk in. Trust me. I am sending a copy of this message to corporate. People as incompetent should be claiming unemployment I read of taking a position that clearly are too under qualified for. I decided to take my mother to Meseros a way far superior restaurant in every aspect. If you got this far reading this rant I will say go elsewhere. Dallas has way too many options in food. Why settle for Uncle Julio's a mediocre and outdated restaurant with greasy food tacky decore and with entitle staff that will treat you so poorly. Do Dallas a favor and take your business elsewhere.

Uncle Julio's is my absolute favorite restaurant for these reasons specifically. 1. I am a Queso Blanca connoisseur and when I tell you they have the BEST Queso Blanca in the city. THEY HAVE THE BEST. E Bar and Taco Diner used to come in close but both have changed their recipes which makes for Uncle Julio's Queso stand ALL the way out. I make everyone try it when I take them here. My kids know that they will catch hands if they eat my Queso. Which is why we have started to order 2 of them. 2. I haven't had a bad experience with a waiter here yet and I come all the time. Probably weekly which is why I am a rewards member. I love the waiters. They are always so nice and will upsell you on an amazing margarita they have on special at the drop of a dime. 3. OMG the beans and rice are freaking amazing. You are either hit or miss at Mexican or Latin restaurants when it comes to the beans and rice, but HONEY... they got it down packed. Anytime I take a fried who hasn't been here before I tell them they got somebody grandmama back there with her spoon in a pot stirring them beans. They are that good. 4. Finally.... them margaritas. All you will ever need is 2 of them. I know cause I drinks my tequila straight. And the best thing about the cocktails, You Can Never Taste the Alcohol. Its like the perfect blend of liquor and mix that is gonna get cha RIGHT.

I called ahead before we went out to see how busy the restaurant was, the hostess I spoke with told me they weren't busy at the moment. When we got there, we were sat immediately in the back of the restaurant, which had a sign that said the table had been sanitized. We were served chips and salsa immediately and then sat for about 5 minutes before the hostess came back to our section to seat another table and looked at us in confusion because we did not have our drinks yet. About a minute later or so, a manager approached our table and asked if we had been helped yet, which we replied we had not. She promptly took our drink and dinner order and then a few minutes later the same manager delivered our drink from the bar (which wasn't what we expected - the margarita was too sour). A few minutes later, we were introduced to our waiter and he went over our order, which I was happy about because there was confusion about one thing and he was able to correct before our order was prepared. Our food came out perfectly and was good. However, when the food was delivered we asked for butter for the tortillas and the waiter made sure to let us know that melted butter was already on the plate (for the shrimp that was ordered). We were looking for pads of butter for tortillas... which he brought us and at that time, we asked for another margarita that we ordered differently (simple this time- the regular way - different from the first one which was a special way) when it came out and was not good either! The waiter came back and checked on us and noticed the drink was still full, he took it and then came back with another which was finally ok. Also, I think during Covid-19, I should mention that in addition to using QR code menus, all staff were wearing gloves in addition to masks. The waiter delivered the check and adjusted the margarita with no issues. The manager came back to check on us as well toward the end to follow up which was appreciated. Great management! Everything was fine and...

Leaving this location today with the worst experience I’ve had in my many years of patronizing this business. I am aware of the menu being revised but the nachos I ordered today did not look very appetizing to begin with but due to eating here many years I still gave them a try. Definitely not what I expected mainly due to the nachos being packed excessively with cheese possibly because I asked for no beans 🤷🏾‍♀️. Upon my arrival, there was only one other customer being served but the customer service that was received wasn’t what I expected as well. The server had a very warm & friendly spirit but he was not as attentive. I ordered the nachos along with a side of rice but I had to remind the waiter the I ordered rice and didn’t receive it with the nachos. At this time I also asked for plastic utensils as well a spicier salsa. When the waiter finally returns with the rice, no plastic wear in hand and the waiter is only serving one other person at this time. After waiting for the things requested to enjoy my meal, my nachos weren’t as warm as I would like them but I figured they would still be delicious as I had recently ordered the nachos the same way at this exact location about 2 weeks ago (without the excessive cheese). After deciding to take the rest of my order to go due to it being cold now, I had to signal the waiter to come to the table for services such as requesting a to- go container, salsa and paying my ticket but there was only one other person the server was assigned to serve. This is kind of ridiculous in the serving industry to receive anything but good quality customer service when there is no one else to serve. This experience was very...
