Spirit Halloween — Local services in Daly City

1 week ago I purchased a "black light" from the spirit store - the light was with ALL the other lights on the shelf. The employee rang everything up and I was on my spooky way. I tried the black light and realized it wouldn't work out and went to return it before the cutoff. The employee and manager (at 10 am on Monday, October 16th at the Daly City location) literally laughed in my face, like I did something wrong. I had the light and the receipt. They claimed it wasn't their light and that the employee shouldn't have rang it up for 12.99 and apparently used a different skew. She claimed to have called the district manager and said they cannot honor my return because it wasn't their light. If it wasn't their light, why did the employee ring it up for 12.99. Why didn't she say "this isn't our light, let me show you which ones belong to our store." Note to self and others - check your ish before purchasing. Apparently they don't teach their employees to ring things up properly and just "wing it." SMH - kind of makes me want to pack everything up I've purchased from there...

I wasn’t gonna do Halloween this year but of course, at the last minute, I changed my mind and running around trying to find everything that I needed. I kinda was having a bit of difficulty, but I had the most amazing help ever in the store by the store manager her name is Ree and I want to give her super kudos. Her costume was fabulous. Her energy was fabulous. The line was long but it went super Duper fast and I really appreciated that so much so shout out to the whole daily cities spirit, Store crew hey see you...

I bought items for myself and my child at this store, but when we opened the packages, some parts were missing. My child’s costume had no mask or outfit, and my own purchase was missing the hat. I came back to return everything, but they refused to take it back.

The employees were very rude and unhelpful. I don’t recommend this store to anyone. Make sure to check everything carefully before leaving the store — they do not care once...
