This store has a super location in the southern part of the Westlake shoping center. There are plenty of parking spots. The parking lot is just about always very busy. It might take time to find a spot on the certain days. The store itself has a very bright light inside. Why would they do that? It is expensive for the store. I guess this lighting can influence customers to spend more time in the store, spend more money, have a higher chance of returning, most likely to recomend to friends just because they feel great in the store. It creates an atmosphere that help customers relax, get comfortable, and excited. Personally, i call it a visual polution that unfortunately make people do or buy something that they would not ordinarily do. The items in this store look very appetizing; however, they contain little to no nutrients. As a result, after eating them, my body, for instance, does not identify any sense of fullness or satiety. Even though all items are very delitious and nice looking, they lead to increased hunger and overeating. Keeping all these in mind i purchased no more than just 2 items at the time. Finally, i did not see any gluten free bakeries in this store. Everyone knows that gluten can cause serious health complications. I wish this store sells at least one or two items that are healthy. If they have them, i haven't see them yet. Finally, the store service is outstanding, and i will return again to experience the...
Read moreThe woman cashier with short and whitish hair was VERY RUDE. After picking breads, I went to the counter and checked for chicken pie and BBQ pork pie. She was helping another customer, so I waited. I was about to ask her and she tersely said the line is not here, so I moved and waited in line. A lady already waiting in the line generously said I can go first. Grateful, I stepped forward and then was scolded by the rude cashier for supposedly cutting the line. She made me feel uncomfortable and frustrated. The other two cashiers were helpful and kind, and they made apologies to me, which I appreciated. Nevertheless, the manager should provide more training to the rude cashier to ensure better customer service. We shop at different bakeries weekly. Sheng Kee is not our favorite one but it's just close to our house and we love their chicken pies. My husband and I were here last week and were told they didn't have chicken pie, so I went to check again today. It was an unpleasant experience and I don't think...

Derrick immediately rushed in and explained alternatives which helped him choose better. Derrick has a lot of patience and excellent communication skills.
Lots of good options. They also have great employees with good customer satisfaction skills. This bakery has been my main bakery for years before I start for office. I personally appreciate the long time employees who work hard and ensure customer satisfaction - Shoshan, Derrick, Mandy, Zoe, Kevin to name a few. My neighbor complained earlier about one employee who is very rude and was selectively rude to him, but I don't see her working there anymore. So no need to worry about rude...
