This is the 2nd restaurant I've tried this kind of meal. Cajun seafood mix. I was on my way to another restaurant but I was it on the way so decided to give it a try. I chosed C3 with 1lb of clam and grill calamari. There are 4 kinds of sauce and many level of spiciness to pick. They were all put in a 2 layers plastic bag, you just need to wear gloves and dig your hand in. It smelled and tasted good, same as the grill calamari. If you couldn't finish everything, they would pack the leftover bag with a new plastic bag and put into a paper one, which is very clean to bring home. Overal: price is average, not cheap but not overprice. The servers were super nice. I enjoyed the meal and definitely would come back again.

Ate here for the first time with a few of my friends and we were displeased with the overall experience. We couldnt substitute anything on the menu, if we didn't like the taste of the food we couldn't switch it out and what we got was very nasty. We couldnt get a refund. The customer service was very poor. And i asked for lemonade as my drink and the waiter said if i didnt like the lemonade i couldn't switch it out or get a refund AFTER she said the lemonade was very sour. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for a sea food boil. Oh and i asked for Cajun as my sauce. It looked like it was gravy.

Great experience! Got deal number 3 with additional crawfish (1LB) and clams (1LB). Highly recommend checking it out. They provide gloves and bibs. The only small complaint I would have is once you get your food, the staff doesn't really check in with you. We never got asked about water refills or drink refills. This might have just been a one off, but we would have liked a staff member to check in about extra gloves, water, etc. Also, the crab and crawfish do pierce the gloves easily. I would recommend asking for an extra pair or so before you get the food.

I've gone to Shaking Crab at least six times since it opened a few years ago and really love ordering Combo One ($26.95) with the original Cajun seasoning. The food comes in a see-through plastic bag and once you untie it, you can dig in.

Combo One comes with 1.5 lbs of crawfish, 1 lb. of mussels, 2 corns, 2 potatoes, and 2 sausages. Don't expect the corn or sausage to be big because they're actually pretty small. The potatoes, on the other hand, are decent in size - not too big, not too small. The Cajun seasoning just make the mussels and crawfish taste much more delicious. I'm salivating just thinking about it. Moreover, this restaurant lost one star because of the tools used in eating here. Bibs, gloves, and plates are all disposable, but cups and utensils are not; Finally, easier to use than their plastic counterparts.

The gloves are porous, so when you've finished eating, the oils just seep onto your fingers. Quite messy, but they do offer moist towelettes so you can clean your hands. I would just avoid using the utensils and eat with your bare hands. Additionally, the servers offer a heaping amount of fresh limes to go with your meal, which is a huge plus in my opinion.

Reservations are great to make so you won't have to wait 30 minutes for a table. The restaurant space is small, but it has a good atmosphere. The waitresses here have all been accommodating and quick on their feet, especially when it becomes busy on weekend evenings. Parking is also convenient and free at the Westlake...

Very very poor service! We came to eat with family around 8:30 and they closed at 9pm. When we got there, they rushed us to order because the kitchen was closing which was understandable. We ordered our food and the server told us that we had to order everything, including dessert. We ordered all our food drinks and dessert. They brought the dessert out before the drinks and food, which was ice cream. We received our food 10 minutes later and it was mushy and seemed very rushed. We asked them to remove the garlic noodles because it was not good and mushy. I then asked them to bring me a new dessert or take it off the bill and they ignored me. Once we were done, we packed our food up and went to pay. When I asked her to remove the dessert off the bill, she yelled at me and told me no and that she watched me eat half of it. I proceeded to tell her I didn’t eat the dessert and all the ice cream melted and that’s why it looked very little. She yelled and said that she told me the dessert was coming out with the food and I told her she didn’t tell me that or I wouldn’t have ordered it. I told her that dessert never comes out before food. She argued with me and yelled at me for 10 minutes and then she snatched the bill and took the dessert off and told us to leave and never to come back. We spent $300 with them to yell at us and provide horrible service and mediocre food. I will never bring my family there again. We were trying to have a nice...

I’m from Maryland and we came to the restaurant as a large group. I ordered the fried shrimp, corn on the cob with the butter on the side, and a beer. Almost 10 minutes after ordering the waitress comes back and shoves the menu in my face stating she would have to charge $6 extra because the putting the butter on the side was “extra”. After explaining I was just asking for the regular portion of butter she said she would still be $6 extra. Once the shrimp arrived they were lukewarm to the touch and the fries were ice cold. I asked to speak to the manger and she then stated she would be able to accommodate my request for the butter on the side. When I mentioned the temperature of my food she then stated she could “heat it up”. I sent back my entire meal and drink. Another person in my party ordered the soft shell crab salad and after everyone had almost finished their meal they come to announce they have “just” run out of soft shell crab. A woman in my party also received cold fries with her short rib but they offered to bring out new fries for her. My mother ordered the same thing as me and also her meal was cold. Honestly I’ve never received service this incomplete and...
