Number 2 Time I gave them another shot and that was a mistake, I went in there for by one get one free burgers on Tuesday night. I was inside eating there and got my burger and tired to get the $9.00 beer I always get and she said okay. She came back and told me they are out of that beer inside, I said can you check outside if they have it its my favorite beer! She came back and said we are out of stock, So i got something else and got a total of 3 beers inside seating down. I paid her and wanted to go outside and grab one last beer at the outside bar and ask if they had my beer that she said was outta stock. The bartender said yep we have that one and proceeded to pour me my favorite beer I wanted all night. I was a little tick off at my server and wanted to know why I was lied to and why she didn't want to do her job correctly and give me the service I deserve, I mean don't you want a Tip Duh. So I went up to her politely and asked her why she lied to me when I just got it outside. She says IDK and doesn't really care, So I said sounds like your lazy and just don't care and I really appreciate if next time you could go out and check. She got pissed told me to f off and proceeded to tell regulars about the incident with the security next to her laughing at me. At that time I left and then one of the regulars she talk to about me came out and said F$$$ you and flip me of. I wanted to go inside to say thats not cool and the security guard thought it would be funny to lock me out at the front door with the guy who kept flipping me off and the girl server woh lied to me and did not do her job and the security guard who I can't even understand why cause this has nothing to do with you at all I never even said a word to him.

I called Rj the Manager the next day and told him everything, he did not believe me. Said he needed to talk to the server and the security to get there side. Rj calls me back and said can I ask you some questions, I said sure, He said how drunk was I yesterday by chance? I'm like what why, Rj says the server says I was rude and super drunk when I went up to her next to the guard and then she ask me to leave and I wouldn't and then the security guard had to kick me out by force. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA No offense, but thats a lie and your security guards are a joke there and they don't even do there job right letting under age girls drink there, plus they couldn't even pushed a bee out the front door let alone me lol. Rj, no I believe them so sorry you where probably drunk which is not right to assume about a customer. I said check your cameras this is a joke no I'm upset and I did nothing wrong and left on my own will. Rj comped the beers and said maybe you go somewhere else cause it seems this is not the place for you. I said thanks for nothing when I been there treated like trash and then got my money stolen from your bartenders making up there own pricing, got accused of stuff when I never did. This place is a joke and please be carful here check the pricing and make sure you don't rip off. No wonder why he didn't want me to speak with the owner, because is old perv who just wants to stair at his female servers like he's king and doesn't...

Dana Point local. Friend in town from out of state. Hennessys only bar open late. Arrived after midnight. Medium crowd. Took several minutes before waited by staff. My friend told the blonde barkeep to open tab on credit card but he will be paying cash. Once we asked for bill she handed credit card receipts. Friend said no he’ll be paying in cash and gave her $40 on $30 tab. No change. Friend kept all copies of credit card receipt. The next morning Bar processed credit card for the $30. We went back to location early afternoon to get resolved with the unsigned receipts in hand and we were told it sounds like the barkeep thought the $40 was a tip and they overall had to look into it and if something happened on their part they would give us gift certificate. He mentioned other things to resolve monetarily except charging back to the card. They did not want to review security footage and they mentioned they wouldn’t know when to look at which we replied the receipt is time stamped 1:47 am. Also they’re would be no audio. Now my friend was getting upset and it showed but Hennessys didn’t ask for his name or anything. It seemed apparent to us they were not willing to resolve within reason so charges are being disputed to credit card company. And a side note, whether the barkeep thought she got a $10 tip or a $40 tip off a $30 tab she didn’t even say thanks. Will definitely not be coming here again and will do my part to make sure none of my friends etc do...

12/24: Great happy hour specials, runs 4 to 7 PM. Includes drink specials and eight dollar appetizers.

Tends to be a little busy and the staff is super friendly, just a little slow at times because they’re either short staffed or overwhelmed. They do a good job of checking in on you during your stay and really are happy to help make your experience enjoyable.

Tuesday is BOGO burger day, any burger on the menu. Thursday is $10 Smashburger day and the portion size is a great value.

Recommend the chicken lemongrass potstickers, Korean barbecue boneless wings and pretzel bites. There are various events throughout the week including karaoke, live bands, and other events.

My one and only complaint is that it smells like stale beer in there, they really should give the fabric on the booths a good cleaning as well as maybe the carpet.

Overall, a great neighborhood spot, consistently solid food and drink offerings, and hospitable customer service.

2023: Stopped by for lunch on a Tuesday. Burgers are BOGO - any burger on the menu. We ordered two burgers and told them we were going to share because they all looked so good. The Irish burger was fantastic and the bun on the pretzel burger was delicious! Don’t forget to get a side or ranch with your fries.

When served they brought out each burger on its own plate cut in half with fries. Great play by the kitchen and serving staff. They were kind, friendly, and genuinely appreciated our business....
